What other guy in the league averages 17:17 a night and has the ability, and, actually has scored 40 goals?

He's not a Superhero, those are fictional. He's also not my favorite player. He was a player that made the Sabres better that they had to pay to keep because there really was no viable alternative. I am happy they did for the reasons below.

"On the year, 212 forwards have logged at least 300 minutes of ice at 5v5. Skinner ranks 5th in goals, 9th in chances, and 9th in high-danger chances per 60 minutes."

That is a 9M per year hockey player in 2019-20. That over 82 games will get you 30+ goals most of which being 5v5. If it's happening away from Eichel even better. He is, was signed to be and will always be a goal scorer. The stats prove you wrong. Emojis don't make your argument stronger, they make you look childish.

I would rather have Skinner score 30 away from Jack than 40 with him. I guarantee the team scores more goals that way.

He has size and speed, but no hands and no finish. He can generate chances but not put them home. At $2.75M, we have enough players like that already.

I would rather have Skinner score 30 away from Jack than 40 with him. I guarantee the team scores more goals that way.

Skinner is currently 5th in the league in goals per 60 5v5 among guys that actually play real minutes. Jack is 25th. Jack also plays almost 2 more minutes a night 5v5. Last year, Skinner was 6th.

Not sure why he turned it off when it counted in the last 25 games of the year. Not exactly Mr Clutch I guess. Put that in the bucket he's not, thank's for that!!

Seems the 11 forward and 7 defensemen lineup is also helping lower his ice time.

He should have. You’re judged every time you put the jersey on. If you’re fit to play, you’re fit to play. I don’t think there are categories that count goals, assists, and total points scored while injured.

Matthews has been dreadful since he started playing more then 18 minutes a night. Sometimes less is more. 86 players had a better PPG last year though.
