why, he has ryan miller like numbers in the ahl and is a year younger then when miler was brought up

There is no rhyme or reason.

I feel hesitant about our goaltending, but if you can get a decent piece for Hutton, you make that move 37 times out of 6.

Mentioned yesterday there was another player Botterill was looking at, that player was Cirelli.

Sell the pharm to get that kid.
He is going to be a stud.
Him, Skinner and Cozens would be a great 2nd line.

I’m curious what it would take. He’d be a great piece to the puzzle.

It would take a lot. He has immense value to them with his current cap hit and team control.

The only way it might work is trading a player on an ELC and a pick due to the idea that Cirelli will command at least $3M on his next deal.

I don't know.
Tampa could be ripe for the pickings as they will be in Cap hell during the off-season ... point is they would want low cost young players, maybe something like Mitts, Tage/Asplund and a pick?
I would not want to let go of both Mitts and Asplund though.

Way more promise than performance to date, for what it's worth.

They're both two guys that Pegulla talks about "IF" all the time.

I think that $3m is low unless it is a 2 year bridge deal.
He had 39 points in his 1st full season, and is on pace for 55 this year.
I'd say closer to Sam's bridge of $3.8, or $5m if longer

Mittelstadt and a pick is an interesting idea.

Cirelli is still an IF as well.

I'm not high on Mitts any longer, especially at C, and definitely not 2C.
Remains to be seen about him at W...maybe it connects for him.
I never liked Tage. Asplund, IMO would be a pretty good 3C

Special teams don’t matter, assists don’t matter, groupthink and subjectivity are frowned upon.

5v5 goals and posts devoid of grammatical errors do matter.

Am I missing anything ?

Tage was a man amongst boys in the AHL and it was a shame he got hurt (playing his 3rd game in 3 nights on the big club). Patience is a virtue.

Almost every single player in the NHL was an “IF” at some point.

No suspension for Cernak’s head hit last night, right?

He has, but he plays on a team, like Boston, that seems to enjoy something of a protected status.

I was so surprised he only got 2 games, especially with what 89 said about Dahlin could be out for awhile

Tampa is a cheap team, dirty hits that go unnoticed at times.
