I don't know what line Draisitl plays on, but I'm going to go ahead and assume he's playing alongside the best player in the NHL, which would inflate anyone's stats. I'm sure Samson #'s would be great playing with McDavid, and Leon's would drop significantly playing here.

Sorry, unfortunately in hindsight Drai is going 1 OA. This is so stupid, we have a top 5 player from his draft and we continue to female dog about it. There's always going to be guys that jump ahead of others in draft spot. It'd be an issue if he was 15/20th best forward, but he's not.

Sam Reinhart's a good player and it shouldn't really matter where he was drafted. Get TF over it.

and he’s a grand total of ONLY 30 STARTS
He still hasn’t even been tested at the AHL level yet

Bringing him up if there’s an injury is one thing
Shipping off Hutton leaves us with the most inexperienced Goalie tandem in the NHL by far

Is it also extremely risky? Absolutely

I just don’t see the need to rush him

Interesting to see how a redraft would look. Would Draisaitl go 1 OA? If so, who do the Sabres take at 2? Ekblad, Larkin, Pasternak, Point, Ehlers, Arvidsson? Reinhart likely not in the top 5 and probably in the 8-10 range.

1. he was the best goalie prospect in sweden when he was drafted

2. he's big

3. he has already taken over the number 1 in rochester and top 6 goalie in GAA in ahl this season

4. he has had 89 starts in north america, not 30

5. he's 24 and they need to know what they have with him so if nothing else, he should get a cup of coffee this season with the sabres, it allows them to call up 6 k for a few games with rochester

6. we can have 3 goalies on the roster for a few games, I mean sending kea or asplund to rochester for a stretch is not going to hurt the big club
