Good plan
I’d go after Shaq Barrett in FA if he’s available

- jdfitz77

they need 2 good DE's and 2 good OLB's this offseason

probably another o lineman

WR prospect, another TE

and a pass catching RB

along with db depth and a kicker IMO

assuming the can bring back phillips, johnson, spain and lawson

I don't see gore coming back unless it's a smaller role

It was never that simple. Toronto found a team willing to take Zaitsev's dirty bird contract in exchange for one year of having to pay an even worse defenseman, while keeping the cap hits basically the same. Personally, I think Glasses did ok there. Moving outside of that bubble, his defense is hilariously bad.
- TheSabresTaco

Ceci was an RFA
Toronto didn’t have to keep him
And they sure didn’t have to give him 4.5mil for this season

Yes it does. This team is a lot better today with Leon then Sam.

City of Buffalo is good at making excuses. Can chalk up Sam over Leon up there with “Wide Right” and “Foot in the crease”.

LEON IS NOT A SABRE

god damn do some of you still beat off over your homecoming queens in high school

Personally I would like to start doing what the pats seem to do.

Trade the pick and hopefully get a 2nd and maybe a 3rd as well.

How many "starters" do we need? I think we need more depth than starters.
WR i feel the big 3 are off the board so there is a bunch 2nd day
OL- At our pick is more of a "reach" than a guy we can take day 2
RB- same lots of day 2 guys

If we can come away with a few R2 R3 picks we could really improve the team over staying at their pick

I bet with Leon we don't get Dahlin... just saying.

couple of good tackles should be on the board when the bills pick

maybe the lb from oregon, te from missouri and the de from alabama

but other then that, yeah I would trade down for an early second and mid third

IMO 1 DE
2 o line guys
1 OLB
1 CB

maybe a TE

but you can get 3 of them as free agents, as long as they don't retire at halftime

Ill also preface that in every draft i can remember ive always been on the side of trade down and accumulate picks

But i do really like Dye (LB from Oregon)
Alex Leatherwood, OT/G, Alabama seems like a guy they would like who can do multiple jobs

Nick Coe, DE/DT, Auburn
Terrell Lewis, DE/OLB, Alabama
Calvin Throckmorton, OT/C, Oregon

all guys how can play multiple positions who will be day 2 guys

For the first time in a long time I can say I trust them filling needs,
The TE may be hard for them to do since they drafted 2 and have Kroft but im not a fan of all 3 really. Yes Knox is doing well but not the complete player id like him to be

A great DE. The bills pass rush needs some help.

And we definitely don’t need tightend. I bet Kroft gets released this offseason. Roll with knox. Sweeney and the false start king lee smith

Two best DEs available are probably Yannick Ngakoue from the Jags or Arik Armstead from the 49ers. Ngakoue would probably be cheaper and easier to sign.

Just curious here, but with Alex Burrows being added to Vancouver's ring of honour who would be Buffalo's most comparable? Honestly I think that would be like putting Jochen Hecht up there.

Krieder isn’t great. He is a glorified 4th liner.

I'd say Ryan Miller. Burrows was there a long time and he was good but not great

No, it doesn't matter in the slightest, because for the sole reason that there is absolutely nothing anyone can ever do about it. Except move on and stop the b1tching.

No, they did, because they needed a body and knew exactly what they were buying into.

Did they NEEDNEEDNEED to keep him? No. No one needs to keep anyone. But they traded 4 years of a crappy guy for 1 year of a crappier guy.

This is the wide right of takes. I'm done being a fan of this team. The Sabres were the only (frank)ing morons to pass over Leon.

I'm more interested in what they're going to do now. Isn't there someone from the dumpster fire teams we can get in here?

Its weird how triggered you’re getting over this.

You’re the only one saying these things

It’s not my fault you and Gilperrault made provably false statements on Skinner and got backed into a corner because of it.

- sbroads24

What false statements? That the 9 million dollar winger is playing on 3rd line today and the droves will hate his contract sooner than later? That he is a one-dimensional player? This is a huge corner that is comfy for me.
