Facts truly have no place here, lol.
Good day.

Sorry ion, got frustrated because it seems like people think l don't like the kid. Which is wrong, just think he has more to give than he has over the last 20gms

I don't hate the guy boards, he is one of are best players, think people are taking me in the wrong way. I just want more, he has what 3 goals in the last 15 games, 5 in 20. I just want him to cash in on his chances. Because he has had a lot of them in those 20 games.
- Buff36

Then this is a you problem.

He's doing exactly what the team needs. Pacing for 32 goals on a line without Eichel. I'll take it every year

Except that won’t be the case. Heck if he does it this year it will be his first time having back to back 30 goal seasons in his career.

You should check out his stats when you factor in the moon being a waxing gibbous and a > than 1 time zone difference. Horrible!

Ryan Nugent Hopkins for Ristolainen?

Imagine the hate RNH would get here after a few games due to not meeting his number one overall pick status.

jeff skinner's production is noticeably worse in cities with booming dungeons and dragons meetups

i think he is too much of a nerd to succeed

Go get a guy like Oshie, 5.75 a year for another 5 years I think it is. Caps may have to move contracts, they did with Stephenson this week.
- SABRES 89

Oshie would be a great addition to this forward group

Dont think the caps move him if they dont need to, doesnt he play with OV?

Well that was some boring, time killing back reading...

A Hubie sighting

More Skinner and his contract talk

Reinhart talk

But where is the move the dead weight out talk?

Jack Sam, and Skinner are not the issues

It's the Sheary's the Vesey's (not the one of late though), the Girgensons, the Okposo's, the E-Rods, that are the reason this team isn't better

That is before we even mention the defense and goaltending

Sheesh

Wanting more out of a guy is all fine and good I want my 2010 Ford Fusion to go zero to 60 in 3 seconds but guess what it's just not going to happen...

Sam will finish around 60 points

Skinner will finish around 32 goals

This is what they average and this is what they need to do every season

Again the issues lie within the rest of the roster

You're ok with paying Oshie just under $6M for the next 5 years through his 38th birthday?

I expect a lot more from a few of you, and a little more from a lot of you.

Wind sprints. Now. Last one to finish has to eat a whole bottle of trucker speed for lunch

Pass, find someone with his play style, though. Would help a lot.

Pilut, Mitts and a 1st for an unsigned Hall? Or a signed Hall under 8M? (Not happening)

That's a (frank) ton of money to spend when the team only has one viable center.

Your right it is a me problem, fine he scores 32 goals, imagine if he would of cashed in on some of those chances in the last 20 games, we would have won a few more. He is doing what he's done his whole career, fantastic, still wish he would have cash in a few more chances.

Exactly. He was paid to score goals, not accumulate secondary assists. Not only that, he scores 5v5. If he scores 30-33 goals per year for most of this contact (we all know there might be some tailing off at some point but also cap will continue to go up), most being even strength, not on a line with Eichel then I say he was worth the signing. Right now he is doing just that.

To want more than their current place in the standings is a reach. Stay in the playoff hunt, continue to improve, hopefully Botts adds more to the group. That's realistic.

I get it as I'd love it if Skinner scored 45-50 every year and never had a drought of more than 3 games without a goal, but that isn't reality.

It's like hating a cat because it isn't a dog. At a certain point, you have to accept that it's a cat.

He's helping Larsson actually put points on the board. That by itself is something of a Christmas miracle.

I dont think it's a coincidence that Mojo looks lackluster without Skinner as well

One thing I've noticed about that line is that Mittelstadt doesn't seem comfortable with the puck on his stick right now. He's not really holding on to it and creating. Hes chasing pucks down and trying to get rid of them right away
