Larsson doesn't produce without Skinner
Skinner produces with *insert center*
Skinner makes *insert center* better

Skinner is bad

- TheSabresTaco

It's funny how when Larsson,Girgs and Okposo were together, they would drive possession, unfortunately couldn't finish, they were praised on here. But with Skinner, they have someone who can score. And it's all Skinner, but Larsson has nothing to do with his points lately, but he is basically doing the same thing before he was hurt. Interesting

Skinner looks like a 9 million dollar player for the first time in 3 weeks against a goalie who looked like he belonged in the ECHL for one period. You are correct I missed that period

You are wrong a lot (special teams don't matter, face-offs don't matter, secondary assists, Colin Miller we could go on) so since you have a propensity for being wrong maybe you can speak about how you deal with it?

I'm going to own up and nnot deny that I was wrong that Skinner looked good for a period the other night. Oh, I feel liberated.

We all are. Difference is I don't just say things that are provably false, then pretend everyone else who's proving me wrong aren't "thinkers".

It's quite the trick though

- Say something factually incorrect
- Have someone prove me wrong
- Tell said person they just are not a deep enough thinker

"Calgary is taking on one of the game’s truly elite goal scorers and individual chance generators tonight. No, not Jack Eichel (although he is very good in those areas). Jeff Skinner.

On the year, 212 forwards have logged at least 300 minutes of ice at 5v5. Skinner ranks 5th in goals, 9th in chances, and 9th in high-danger chances per 60 minutes. He’s always getting opportunities around the net and the goals pile up as a result. "

We all agree he scores goals, but where are the secondary assists? Check and mate.

I was watching the Minnesota game a few weeks ago and Rob Ray said he talked to their coach and he said we are going to take Jack Eichel out of the game and let the other players try to beat them. They obviously weren't that worried about these stats and "elitism." With what I have seen and the comments many have you posted I don't think you would have been either.

That is one reason I think we need better top end talent. Two and three-pronged attacks are better than one.

I don't get it, he's got 11, on pace for 32. They are going in...no?

This - if Gil Perreault had chances but few results, and had great hands but didn't use them to their potential he would have been Tim Connolly

9th in chances, 5th in goals. Doesn't that mean he's scoring at higher rate then his other elite peers, or am I just not good at math (Hint, I'm not bad at math)

What is happening here?

Oh my god, fine he has 11 goals, we can also say he has 15 goals in his last 53 games. Or 3 in his last 15 games, he's a goal scorer they go through droughts, I understand that, but is it to much to want him to bury some of the chances he is getting.

I think this is everyone's issue with your arguments right here in a nutshell....You are using a 1 game eye test against 2+ months of analytics to prove your point. Then you tell everyone how they continue to see things in black and white and that they are not deep enough thinkers.

That fact is. You are wrong. Maybe you should look into the grey. Maybe you should think a little deeper. Maybe you should do some research. Your "eye test" means nothing to me because from what I have read here from you have no idea what you're watching.

I'm not a Skin-fluter or whatever the crowd name is dubbed, but didn't you just kinda make your own point? He's getting chances they're not going in at a high enough clip, but also is still 5th in 5v5 goals. Imagine when he starts going.

The only area they arent going in, is on the PP, and he's not asked to shoot. He's in the high slot and Olofsson and Eichel are the primary shooters.

This argument is genuinely insane

I pointed that out. I also understand what Buff36 is saying. He's seeing the chances and wants more of them to go in. Nothing wrong with the sentiment, but the analytics say he's doing well.

1 goal in 6 games

1 goal in 8 games

2 goals in 14 games

Last year 4 goals in 25 games

Doesn't set up goals and makes 9 million bucks

Coaches opinion about Jack is all we worry about

Last game he dominated before one period against NJ was Carolina so why he gets so much love is It's like little kids fawning over their favorite super hero.

Weird. I have 40 goals in 82 games last year.

Unless those 25 games are the only ones that counted

I noticed Gil left out the first 57 games last year, and first 15 games of this year out of his analysis.

I wonder why?
