He has value. He’s skilled. He rides Matthews to 60pt seasons. Trade him before he get completely exposed as a lazy, selfish player. - Arctic_AARDVARK

Not Nylander.
And we also didn’t want him to trade Kadri. And we also expected him to fill out the roster with guys who can bring other element of the game.

I'm still happy all 3 are still here.
I like that Tavares is here as well.. It may be an unpopular opinion, but signing Tavares really fast-tracked the "rebuild" and once he got $11M, you knew Matthews was going to get the same or more.
I'm happy that Tavares is a Leaf and that he wanted to be here, but his signing changed everything for us.

Dubas’s undoing will be that he paid 3 kids too much money, and now he has no choice but to succeed with them. He put all his eggs in (a very unproven) one basket. He didn’t do his homework on them, he just assumed that the NHL is going soft, and that the Leafs could get ahead of the curve. But he went full-Disney. - Arctic_AARDVARK
So instead, he should have traded them all for Matt Martin and Colton Orr? |

You can choose to ignore everything he does if you want.
Well I mean you are, so keep it up - Santo_44
are you secretly melander or, more likely, dubass?
that is the only way you could advocate for this type of soft, selfish, perimeter, alligator arm play from your little pencil necks 🤦♂️
this is not sweden or Switzerland 🤦♂️
there r North American boyz playing gud hockey.👍🏿
dubass has not done enough to legitimately compete in this atmosphere 🤦♂️
there, is that simple enough for you?🤦♂️

So Toronto fans are the only ones that see now that he is a lazy selfish player, but not the paid scouts of teams, who will be sent to watch him and evaluate him, in order to gauge his value? Got it.

And he said as much, he is not a dummy. He knows the stakes.
“I am willing to bet, I guess, my job and my career on it” when talking about the Leafs having success playing fast, skilled hockey and being a dominant team playing this way.
He will get several shots at it, its not this one season and well thats it.

for the leafs to contend:
-they need to keep the core of reilly, andersen, matthews, tavares, marner and nylander together,
-get a top 10 draft pick this year
- sell muzzin and barrie for decent returns.
then in 3 years they should have one good shot at winning the cup; before having to blow it up with sloppy seconds contracts. |

Imagine Willy lost Hayes last night on that goal instead of Matthews?
What about the giveaway in OT AND the PP from Marner that led to goals early in the season? - Santo_44
What about it?
Marner was chastised on here for it. Only there are no marner wives here to get offended by it
