I didn't even realize a Ranger fan posted it. I don't see how I was supposed to know that (unless you mentioned that and I missed it). I genuinely wasn't trying to piss you off and to be frank, I probably overreacted to this proposal after weeks of looking at ridiculous ones. Anyways, apologies, but how much off is Buchnevich from Nylander? Is he Georgiev (not some crazy goalie, but a serious need you have address and IMO will be held hostage for), a young top 4, roughly .75pt/g PP QB defenseman, and a 3rd better? I think he may be, but more to my point, the way some people talk about him sure doesn't warrant those assets to 'equal' out a trade, if their views of him are that negative and he really is a lazy turnover machine that doesn't back check.

Sorry for missing that. I would accept a trade like that as well. You need a backup to help salvage this season and I don't see Hutch or Koskisuo doing the job. I guess it boils down to whether you can save the season and if the pieces and cap relief warrant the move. From an outsider perspective, I'm with you. I'd probably lean toward pulling the trigger. After the Chiarelli yeas, I'm gun shy about giving up any best player in the deal trades though

every team has flaws....you just choose to ignore or make light of the MASSIVE flaws that exist on your team:

severe lack of depth
lack of back up goaltender
lack of quality prospects to fill holes
lack of dmen who know how to defend
soft and easy to play against
horribly top heavy in contracts making it impossible to fix these flaws

I love Buch too. I don't know who mab is? I think DeAngelo really is a good offensive defenseman that can run a very competent PP. There's a lot of value in that and it's always interesting to see dmen you think can do the job, fail miserably. He has some competition in Adam Fox though, that's for sure
