babcock is a not a psychologist. it's not his job to identify people with mental health issues and help them.

he was paid to win hockey games.

people with mental health issues either have to step up themselves and find the help they need or hope they have strong family support to guide them to the right help.

that's not your employer's job.

- Tumbleweed

It kinda is, but let's agree that he's not probably properly equipped to do it, and the NHL could probably do a better job of it.

If there's one thing I've learned in the past year, it's that everyone has to be on the lookout, and everyone needs to speak up if they even think something may be wrong.

I hope you and the people you love never go through mental health issues.
The fact that you mock it, makes you a worthless piece of sh!t.

- .HOHO.

I find it ironic that Babs was always going on about mental health like he was some advocate for it. Yet he is one that seems to be the one causing many players to go through it

Players must cringe when they see the 'Bell let's Talk' videos he's in about mental health.

Yes it is.... It's a nickname I have had for 30 years.
Everyone that knows me, knows that nickname.

You ignorant (frank).

Yes. Your right. I am ignorant of your personal history. I should have known better than to skip over the famous history of HOHO on hockey buzz. I feel shame.

So just so we're clear, it's not your real name right?

Devils just fired their coach.
- Atomic Wedgie

I heard he smacked Subban's pumpkin spiced latte out of his hands and right on to Hall's new shoes. It strained relationships that just couldn't be healed and was becoming a real stain on the organization.

They should hire Babs. The Devil as the Devil’s coach. Great marketing.

Time for Miroslav Satan to begin his coaching career.

Did you know that the original New Jersey Devil story was created by Benjamin Franklin as a smear campaign against a business rival?

True story.

I'm all for it too, but let's not kid ourselves: Babcock acted the way that 70% of all NHL coaches of that era acted.

It may not be right, but Babcock was not some rogue bad coach doing things that nobody else was doing.

- Atomic Wedgie

Agreed.

Babcock getting slammed seems like a bit of overkill. Nobody is perfect. He tried some unorthodox methods, doesn't always pan out. Anybody with kids has to be able to relate.

I didn't mind him as a coach until it seemed like he lost the room. The other stuff, which could be the reason he lost the room, still doesn't matter to me...especially after the fact. He was fired. Move on.

I do think the Boomers and some Gen Xers like me were raised in a very different way and using the same methods now isn't tolerated any more.

Tough to change, but we all had/have to do it.

I had the same power skating coach as Eric Lindros. Jeananne. She would slap us as hard as she could on our asses as we skated by during drills. I'm thinking about making an issue out of it.

I heard it was because of the 9-13-4 record, but your explanation seems more plausible here on Hockeybuzz.

Exactly. She negatively effected my development which lead to me only being a 4th liner who played 3 minutes a night and only 14 games one season.

It was a home made pumpkin spiced latte that Lindsay Voghn whipped up. It even had the latte art heart...I mean, there's no coming back from that.

Did he say anything about the locker room music?

Subban lounged around in his american flag banana hammock and would listen to Mozart, which drove Hynes mental. He was quoted as saying "Mozart is the most mainstream classic poop there is." You see, Hynes was more of a Salieri guy. This long lasting argument was what lead to the great latte incident of 2019 and Hall demanded a trade screaming "this is the last time I'll gift you a 1st overall pick you whining female doges!". It's like a war zone in there and Andy Greene is doing nothing but listening to Tchaikovsky in his brand new Bose noise cancelling headphones while drinking an almond latte, totally out of tune with what's going on. They'll bring in a new coach and he'll play some Nickelback at the practice and all will be well while they St. Louis Blues their way to a 2020 Stanley Cup.

This has all been confirmed by multiple sources.

I do this poop for a living for a rather large company, and without getting involved in your little debate.... I can assure your last couple paragraphs are complete poop.

Employers have a responsibility, there's been legislation passed to support as much.
