The in-game experience at Flyers games in the Wells Fargo Center has felt uncomfortable and overwhelming since at least the 04-05 lockout. The volume, the prices, the crampedness everwhere (the bathrooms, the horror). - countreeman28
I agree. It's just unpleasant. I'm not a big guy and I feel cramped. I dont know how some fans fit in those seats. I can't stand the constant assault on your senses. Can't they just give it a break for a few minutes? Does every stoppage and break need to be filled with ads, flashing lights and blaring music? I'm much happier at home.
Besides, if I'm not home, who's going to yell at those kids to get off my lawn? |

Do you by chance have the time his interview starts? - ClaudeFather
Very late, sorry. But it was about 70 minutes in. Keith Yandle’s brother was on before him. That one was pretty good. |

I have heard this exact post come out of my husband's mouth.
We watch from home as well. |

If they wanted a guy to chat with injured players they could have hired Stewart as a coach.
Instead he's taking up a roster spot that could have gone to someone who is still able to play at the NHL level, like Nick Shore or Bryan Boyle. - Feanor
I know I probably can’t sway you from your view, but I don’t agree. Stewart can still play a 4th line heavy role. The fit hasn’t been the best, and he looks behind the pace at times. He can’t carry a line. I thought he looked best with a guy like Laughton. Right now Laughton deserves to be in the top 9. Regardless someone always has to sit, a league minimum salary in that 13 F spot is the best you can do. It’s great to have a guy there who brings value even when not playing.

Stewart’s Corsi% is the worst on the team and in the bottom 10 of all players in the league. It’s not just that he doesn’t contribute anything. He is an anchor for his teammates to carry when he is out there. The coach apparently would play 7D rather than put him out there. Since there are several forwards in LV that are waiver exempt I guess it really doesn’t matter if he just hangs out in the press box. Fletch must have owed him a favor big time. |

in his defense it was also early in the season. Not saying he should be in the lineup....just that it was early and we weren't playing the best either |

think about how the fourth line has been playing, Pitlick and Raffl playing with speed and an all out forecheck, JVR has skated well too, how in the world would we play Stewart now? He would throw off the entire line. |

Its the best hockey podcast byyyyy far. I like Commodore's and Ray Ferraro's as well, but Spittin Chiclets is really great. They keep up with current stuff, but they also get into some awesome stories, i highly recommend for any type of hockey fan. |

You’re right...the 4th lines at the time he was playing were a mess mostly. I am not a huge stats fan when looking at tiny samples. One guy’s bad stats were a smidge worse than the bad stats on his line argument isn’t doing anything for me.

The fit is definitely not there without shuffling that 3rd line and no one wants to mess that up now.

What is Commie's podcast about? - ClaudeFather
Well I should've worded it differently for Commie, he doesn't have one per se, he goes on several podcasts though and he is (frank)in hilarious. He has been on chiclets several times, he's been on TSN podcasts, and there was one i never heard of which I havent gone back and listened to, but it's the Cam and Strick podcast Cam Janssen and Andy Strickland. Anything with Commie is hysterical. |

I moved from lower (4th row) seat to upper level seat this year. My tix had gone up 17% just this year and I'm retiring soon. So I decided to see how the experience would be upstairs. Nice 2nd row seat, nice neighbors, but I'm on the curve so my seat is 4" smaller than the rest of the seats in the row. I'm not a small person. I have to sit on the edge of the seat and slide back to fit under the useless in any circumstance cup holders (which are parallel to the sides of the adjacent seats, so angle out over my seat).
If we are going to have a Home Town Hero have it be someone who is doing something special in their home town. As it is on most nights we have at least three automatic (what are we trained seals?) standing ovations for paid military advertising.
And was Lou Nolan a Marine? If not, why is he Semper Fi'ing everyone. And I don't think he needs to remind serving military and vets to "offer a hand salute" to the anthem every night. They know what they're about, they can do it (or not) without his help. |

Marines do not salute out of uniform. We stand at te position of attention when the national anthem or marines hymn is sung or when during colors |

You mean that fancy new scoreboard, inflated ticket prices and Gritty aren’t enough to get you through the door?
In all seriousness, the future of attending live sports might be in trouble with the popularity of smart phones, HD, and streaming services. Plus, there’s only one direction that ticket prices ever seem to move so I wonder if we’re getting close to a point where most fans are priced out. The NFL and MLB have seen significant attendance drops in the last couple of years and the NBA and NHL can’t be far behind. |
