I just don’t believe they’ll get both a 1st and an A prospect. Especially not a 2020 1st.

I would be livid if my team gave up a dynamic prospect and a 2020 first that could arguably be one of the best drafts since 2003

Even is team, say, Avs, won the cup?

I really don't want 31st overall for Hall lol. Hoping for 20th or earlier. Is that unrealistic?

That 2020 1st will likely be a late pick since whoever picks up Hall is attempting to make a deep playoff run. So let's not act like they're giving up a top 5 pick.

I definitely think the Avs should trade for Hall (not byram and a 1st, that’s a ridiculous payment).

The kings are the only team that I can think of that traded top prospects (schenn and Simmonds) for a player like hall (Richards) and won the cup and I did tell myself they better win if you’re giving up that much. Luckily they ended up getting carter for scraps which also helped.

How’s it working out for Vegas, did they win yet, no. Like I said they didn’t give up both a top prospect and a 1st that’s way too high of an ask. They could win this year or next or the next year.....I don’t think they will.

I wish the kings had a player like Hall yo trade to get a high end prospect. Toffoli SHOULD be that guy but he sucks, kings will be lucky to get a 3rd for him

Anyone see Mckinnon said he'd take less money on his next contract just to win with that team.

I thought Hall was like that. Gonna be pissed if he traded and signs a 7 mil deal with new team.

Turcotte looking quite good from a quick look on hockey db.

I checked a few others without knowing much about college hockey I was shocked to see how poor Boldys stats where so far but then again I dont know much about college hockey I just know he is a freshman lol.

By less he means 10mil not 12mil. Don't read too much into it.

I was ecstatic when turcotte fell to LA. If it wasn’t him I would have probably wanted cozens.

I would trade Hall to a team like Buffalo for their unprotected first this year. I have no faith that they wont be right where they usually wind up and it could be anothing ball to have in the lottery.

I would maybe consider Sj first next year since they dont have one this year but I havent heard a word on next years draft yet so that could be a tad risky. I do think they spiraling downward and will do whatever to try and win while still having the burns and karlsson contracts that they will never get rid of.

Man, some of the "trade offers" for Hall on Eklunds post are laughable. Some people are truly clueless.

I just read an article about a possible trade with MTL that would include cayden primeau who I know nothing about but seen he's from Jersey. That would be interesting.

because neither Pacioretty or Stone won MVP 2 seasons ago.

But you never get equal value for a player on an expiring contract. Look at what we gave up for Kovy. A late 1st, a mid pairing D and a C prospect. That's probably what a return for Hall looks like.

Kovy made it known that he was going to test free agency so teams didn't want to trade for him. Also, teams now want to get the 8th year of the contract so actually acquiring Hall is a big deal so they can offer a better contract.

Not sure how you can know that based soley off of college and 20 ahl games.

Goalies are such a crap chute. Once a year one comes out of no were to never be heard from again the next season.

I wouldnt being building a package around him for a Hall trade thats for sure.

I cant think of a time where a legit top goalie prospect was moved ? They are just to unpredictable to gamble on that teams wait till they are 25 and have a starters role before they fork over anything of value for goalies.

To be honest, I picked him off waivers in my hockey simulation game (Franchise Hockey Manager 6, which you should all play) and he was pretty darn good.

Is he a fringe nhler though or is he just playing like one ? Im certainly not saying he could be top six but we need to find out if he is how he is playing or if he is just playing bad.
- Devilish4

I honestly consider him a fringe NHL player. Still he should fetch a 5th at worst. That is what Chandler Stephens went for in the Washington deal. Shedding his 8.25M remaining salary would be great (over this and the next 2 seasons). Beyond that, we have WAY better/cheaper/younger talent deserving of the TOI. Wood has not shown any signs of being a good "player". A great skater with physicality, yes. But so was Johnny Moore and nobody is missing him.

It is his choice to make. And honestly, 7M would be appropriate given the injuries this guy constantly has. Let's not forget his second highest point total was 53 as a Dev. Anyone committing 7-8 years to a 29 year old UFA is gambling. We got the kid for Larsson, he played well for cheap, and will fetch us a handsome return. Thanks Hall!!!
