SSB brings up a good point, that double high screen worked very well for us for many years, as well as allowing that high man to drift to the top of the circle for a quick G pass and a rifle from a left handed shooter (hartsy, schenner, coots at times. When did that wrinkle in the PP leave cause i remember, especially Schenn and Hartnell getting a lot of goals in that area.

Every inch of that set up one dangerous. The entire PP filtered through Giroux from the left half wall. Giroux could feed the left handed shot from top of the umbrella. This set up for a one time goal or that high shot could be tipped by two different sticks from the double screen. Simmonds and Schenn were both huge for Power Play Points. Also as you point out, feeding the legged shot in the slot from G. Very dangerous with a heavy enough shot. Not to mention Voracek and Simmonds knew exactly how to use the boards by throwing the puck behind the net and cycling back to Giroux on the left wall. It looked so easy.

The problem is we missed our chance to dress a great lineup. We could have put Giroux in Goal, put Elliott at C, Morin at wing and JVR at D. We'd be unstoppable

Pretty sure Frosty did put one home from there off a set face off too from G. That would be awesome if Frost became the new G but teamed up with him for the next 5/6 years and become a dominant duo

It was on the pk. That came out for the offensive draw with only a few seconds on the pk. Frost scored right off the draw. They have since worked the play 3 or 4 times but no goal.
