I'm not advocating for the rumored trade for Galchenyuk, but I'd be ok with it as well, of course depending on the assets used..
1 of Sandy or McCabe and 1 of Erod, Gus, Larson, Sheary.
Put them in a blender and keep mixing until Rutherford says yes....Pitt has $1.6m in cap space, so go for it.
Apparently Anahiem has been on their watch list as well.
Go get Rickard Rakell...expand the deal to include Ondrej Kase
Do what it takes, select from among Risto/Miller, Bogo, Mitts, 2020-2nd, Thompson, Smith, Fitzgerald, Bryson, Hickey ...put it in a blender until Murray says yes
VO-Jack-Sam
Skinner-Galy-Rakel. ...let Galy and Rakel's play determine who is C and who is RW
Mojo-Asplund-Kase
Vesey-Larsson-leftover
You can win with that - IonSabres
I'd rather get Athanasiou, more speed, more grit and no coke issues
really doesn't matter though when the coach is going to lean on larsson, okposo and girgens as his second line for the last 5 minutes, when trailing, and leave skinner, vesey, sheary, johansson, and whoever we bring in until we pull the goalie |

I’d imagine it would be hard to convince Anaheim to give up both Kase and Rakell
Neither are having seasons that would be near their ceiling, so maybe?
But I’d be surprised if the Ducks gave up on both of them
Especially since their contracts are very friendly |

Yuck
5.25mil for the next 6 years,
for a high end of 15goals & 45pts
His last 2 seasons he’s averaged 12goals & 32pts
He’s a 3C
We made the right decision to pass on him - jdfitz77
That could play 2c for this year and next better than what we have from anyone else. Until hopefully cozens is ready... but hey. Let’s keep rolling 7 d. And having a 2c that hasn’t played there in 5 years. Or the kid that was rushed that got stuck on the wing. I mean who doesn’t want to keep watching skinner with Swedish Lockport. Perfect compliment to a $9 million dollar winger. |

Oh but who doesn’t love floral tinged stink. That’s all I’m gonna think when Okposo scores. Man that’s some good flower covered stank. - Gr8daygo
Everyone would prefer moving Okposo bc of his contract, but that’s what makes him pretty much untradable |

He’s one concussion away from retirement... I disagree with 89 on this one. No way does he make it to the end of the contract. |

Debatable that he’s better than MoJo,
but let’s just say he is (even though i don’t think so)
We still be stuck with him playing 3C for 5 more years after next
And likely scoring closer to 10goals & 30pts bc of the 3C role
For 5.25mil...
that’s just way too much for the type of production we’d get and the role he’d be in
Boston’s gonna regret that contract sooner than later
It’s one thing to overpay your top guys (like Skinner)
But it’s a terrible idea to be overpaying your bottom6 guys...
And especially for that long
No thanks. Terrible idea |

Possibly
That what most of us would’ve thought before this latest one too
Maybe when the season is done he can take a step back & think about his health?
He might be “healthy” enough to keep playing
But certainly seems like a prime candidate for CTE in the future
Especially if he continues his career

9 mil for a 40 goal scorer is not an overpayment, it's the market rate
the lack of production is on the coach and gm due to who they are playing him with and how they use him
larsson, okposo and girgens got more even strength time in the 3rd period then skinner, before we pulled the goalie |

Ok... don’t disagree really
But that’s not at all what we were talking about
Overpaying Coyle to be a 3C for the large part of his contract would’ve been a bad move by us
Boston will find that out sooner than later |

Is it bc Skinner was coming off PP shifts,
so that line just got pushed down the rotation,
whereas the Lockport line was first up after each PP?
That’s the only thing i can come up with
Couldn’t have been a conscious decision to do that when we were trailing
Nvmd... we only had 1 PP in the 3rd,
I thought we had more
Hard to figure what Ralph was thinking there |

I wonder what it’ll take for teams to actually part with some of these good players having down seasons
Maybe these other GMs are just afraid to “sell low” and then get burned when these guys have bounce back seasons next year & beyond |

It's frequently difficult to figure out what Ralph is thinking, like this nugget before the game yesterday. He can't possibly see the pairing of McCabe and Bogosian as anything resembling decent, can he?
Krueger on Miller: "We thought he’s been really strong the last few days, which is one of the reasons we ended up going with seven D over the last period of time. It’s just the way we see the pairs. Right through the lineup we’re looking for a little familiarity right now." |

Could be that, a little early in the season, and injuries forcing teams to hold on making moves. But something has to give!!! |

build down the middle
I would rather have eichel, ror and coyle as my 3 centers and plug the rosters with 1 pricey winger and the rest with fast entry guys and 3-4 million dollar guys
but having 4 or 5 bad contracts on this roster hampered that short term |

when you are leaning on mccabe and bogo for 20 plus minutes, and reducing joker, dahlin and montour
it's not a good thing
just another coach leaning on the core
montour has less then 20 minutes in 11 straight games

I thought Montour has played well since his return. |

AA worries me a bit, never into the 50 pt level, I know he is on a poopty team and +- doesn't matter...but holy crap -31 so far....he could be 2x Risto's Green Jacket run. |

the green jacket reference
if the team sucks, +/- reflects it most on the better players as they are always out there in times when pressing for a goal
if kruger is leaning on the lockport line and burying vesey, asplund, casey, sheary , etc
it really doesn't matter who we bring in unless it's a RNH type guy to anchor the second line
whoever runs our pp needs to be fired tomorrow and if kruger doesn't want to do it, he can go as well |

So much this. And forcing mitts isn’t helping in the short term. Mojo has been an admirable stop gap but he’s more of a injury replacement center. Not a year long replacement. The center position is just weak! We have a 1. And a 4. And promising young 3... |

Finally watched the replay of the game. Bogo just can't skate anymore. The Hip surgeries have taken there toll. And don't know if it is because of the hips but he is playing scared, not physical at all. |

Makes you wonder what the hell the coach sees where he gives him the most 5v5 ice time last night, and thinks a pairing of him and McCabe is a good idea. |
