Risto played well last night. Scandella, McCabe and Bogo - not so much.

When your 9 mil forward can't play in OT because of his d abilities it is a problem, when he can't score on the PP another problem. You would think a 9 mil player could do all those things and set up plays, well in my opinion.

Scandella was playing well before this road trip but he might be reverting back, I guess we'll have to see how he does going forward.

(shrug) if he can put up high 30s I don't care if he scores on the PP. Night after night he and Jack are the two guys that are always noticeable. Even when he went cold last year he was still busting it in every game.

Maybe that’s the approach. Fix one player at a time. Just focus on THAT player. It’s a very modern personalized approach. Ok, they got Risto on track. Who’s next? And with this approach, 1/4 season to fix each player, 20 plus players, we will be good by 2032.... playoffs here we come!

I'd trade all of them, if possible.

Reasons I'd still trade Ristolainen:

- He's still the most likely key to getting forward help
- We've seen him play well for stretches in the past, only to revert to what he normally does
- You'll get more for him with 2.5 seasons left on his deal versus 2
- Better to get out in front of Ristolainen's next deal
- If not now, definitely this offseason

I would rather have eichel, ror and coyle as my 3 centers and plug the rosters with 1 pricey winger and the rest with fast entry guys and 3-4 million dollar guys

but having 4 or 5 bad contracts on this roster hampered that short term
