Sedin's gone more scoring yes because it was drafted and developed. Haven't got to developing enough defensemen yet.

The team is "better" when Edler and Tanev are in the line up. If they are playing first pairing, chances of this team winning a cup are lower. To get/ find top pairing D pretty much need to get lucky that one develops or draft high. I doubt Van is going to be drafting high again for a bit.

It's like ripping a band aid off though with Tanev and Edler, might hurt in the short but better in long term.

Tanev's a free agent and can be brought back next season. Trade him and bring him back if you want. Edler, it's just time to move on from Edler.

I'm hoping Colorado comes for Edler, it's not that far away from Van. Hopefully JB forces him out the door.

Drafting and developing is all good and fine but really only 1/3rd of the battle. Miller, Leivo, Pearson and even Myers and Benn (defensively) are contributing to the greater whole.

We're fine without the Sedins we'll be fine without EDler Tanev.

Moving Tanev for assets is all goo but bringing him back to be injured for half-seasons is redundant. Move on from both.

What impresses me is the depth . Someone goes down on the D and they have good back ups.

I still think Edler is the top guy now but that doesn't mean he still will be in two months. We might even get to see OJ for a couple of games if Edler is long term.

With our prospects pool & UFA signings being what it is I’m thinking draft BPA. The looming 2021 e-draft has me unwantingly holding back on trading. Once that’s over with then wheeling & dealing I’m down for.
The 7-3-1 list is looking ok other than a goalie left exposed. Difficult decision there depending on Marky’s new deal/length. D is easy enough. At F it gets interesting. If we are in the big fish UFA market something else has to give. This season very easily could set up a big move at the TDL or the offseason.

I liked the trade but expectations more than exceeded. Lets keep getting legit quality.

I am not worried about the E Draft. We will need to lose someone . I think it is fine that we have that that many good players that we can not protect everyone.

I also think that major trades are less likely to happen. I don't see us giving up any more firsts.

I think if we were to try to make an impact trade it would cost a lot like Madden Gaudette Podk Hoglander ( one or more than one)

I expect Marky to be re-signed . I think Tanev or Stech will be moved but Tanev could return.

Nucker just pmed me. If you make a trade in the yahoo league, it resets your roster and you have to automatically set the roster again. Absolutely ridiculous rule by yahoo.

Just as an FYI, the same rule applies if you put a player on IR or drop a player and add a new player to your roster. You will have to reset your lineup for the rest of the week.
