There will be some bad blood the next time the Flyers play the Senators. This reminds me of the same situation on 3/5/2004 when the Sens came into Philly after injuring Recchi in Ottawa in their previous meeting. The Sens then went after Recchi in Philly and it turned in a brawl that set the NHL record of 419 penalty minutes in one game. The Flyers beat the crap out of Ottawa in the fights and won the game 5-3. The whole building shook during the fights. I'm sure somebody will be looking to go after Brady Tkachuk in the next game.
- Thors-Hammer

The crazy thing about that game is that all the fights took place with less than 2 mins left.

Reality of it is though is that besides Brashear and Sharp the Flyers either got owned or it was even like the Recchi fight.

Given the fact that Ertz caught the game winning Superbowl TD I take him 100% of the time unless you are saying you are ignoring all past actions

i was referring to if they were the same age and both players are available in the draft

Agreed, but Laughts didn’t do so yesterday because his hand is still healing. Last thing we need is for him to be out again for some time.

Forgot about that. Good point.

Kittle, if we're going with their actual ages, otherwise stick with Ertz since he's more durable.

So Ghost should have gone full speed at crashed into Hart as he stood there holding the puck??? That's mostly, if not entirely, on Hart in my opinion.
- jmatchett383

Doesnt have to go full speed but he should make an actually effort to get there. There was no urgency to get to that puck which is why Duclair beat him to it. He has to be aware of the situation.

From watching the replay its more on Ghost IMO. He needs to get back harder and take the puck around the net.

I honestly think they both could have handled it better but I could also see why you feel Ghost was the culprit.

The media are coming after Lavi now for punching Leino in the helmet. Not a joke.

For real?
I thought Lavi was just punching the air for effect and hit Leino by accident..

I never thought it was on purpose. Lavi was so lit up he would've punched the glass if it were in front of him.

Wait til stories about the coaches from the 70s/80s start to come out for the real crazy stuff.

I’ve been posting about it everywhere. He should be fired it’s only just and right.

Feelings on Laviolette punching Leino in the helmet and being a bully and Carrillo running his mouth on all of the coaching stuff.

Go...

Whereas Hart can learn from that experience, that was all Ghost. Why didn’t Ghost retrieve the puck? He was there and he could have beat the other guy to it. He didn’t skate for it, reach for it nor make any solid effort to get the puck.

Here is what you don't know. You don't know what the on ice communication was. It was obvious to me that Gostisbehere was expecting Hart to play the puck to the corner. In my opinion your read and criticism here is wrong. It had nothing to do with a lack of urgency or effort and it was about a mis-communication.
