Tampa will turn it on early in the new year and will end up running away with the second spot. i expect Florida and Toronto to battle it out for the final playoff spot and the metro to run away with both wild cards. the Habs had a slim margin for error this year and they just blew their load and more with that losing streak.

But then you read what people post in here and you feel safer about it.

I honestly thought the Atlantic was much stronger, or at least more top heavy, than the Metro. So far, I was wrong. But hey, there’s still a lot of time, and the talent is there in the Atlantic.

Somebody could very well tumble in the Metro, not to mention the Sabres have been imploding terribly. You can make hay with a solid mid season.

Philly lost Konecny to a violent cheap shot up high off of a suicide pass. Hopefully he’s okay, but if he’s gone for an extended time, that would likely prove devastating for them, as Konecny has been the one stirring the pot for them offensively. That could put a Wildcard slot up for grabs.

Not sure it was worthy of a mention.
