Bill's looked for real today

Good times ahead

Allen got smoked today, kids tough. Really needs to work on his long ball, could have really changed the game. And the officials missing that 12 men in the huddle just before the touchdown, horrible.

The same was said about Pommer a lot in his first stint, when the expectations were higher. He had the same tendency to play decent defensively, but be invisible for stretches offensively as well....just the same generally passive play.

Both guys avoid puck battles and confrontation for sure

I'd say pommer wearing the "c" says something about his leadership. Sam wore the "A" for a few games

Pommer was a good on the pk and pp
Sam does not participate on the pk, and basically the pp too.

Pommer never had an eichel.

Yeah, how does Knox drop that first down throw, but then make that 1 handed grab on the sideline.

Knox dropped a couple
Brown 1 handed
Devin 2 drops

Allen throws a sweet long ball, it was a bit off today for sure

There's differences too, of course. I think we're both just observing a certain similarity in on ice attitude.

Yeah even Beasley down the sideline. Unfortunately he has been off with his long ball all year.

in addition to the yards and downs lost, those drops prevent a qb and offense from getting into a rhythm

I am still pissed that 12 men in the Huddle wasn't called, should have been 3rd and 7, not 3rd and 2, that shovel pass doesn't work.

Totally agree Pach's, and the way the O-line was playing today those drops hurt even more

By sweet long ball ..... you mean inaccurate?? Because his deep ball Accuracy is horrendous

Also. The Sabres played like garbage and still won a game. Mcdavid didn’t get a point I think?

I know what your saying, funny how it drives me crazy with sam, but was ok with pommer.

I'm sure some of it has to do with expectations.
Sam , brother and dad were nhl players.
Picked early. was supposed to be a top building block

Pommer, went thru Rochester, nothing given to him.

Agreed

Deep ball is a rocketed tight spiral and release.

Accuracy deep, has been off though for sure

Allen's deep ball problems are well documented, but they need a receiver that can adjust on a throw that's not perfect. They don't have that guy. I also think a bigger target such as Duke Williams could have made a little bit of a difference.

They need to catch Florida and keep them in the rearview mirror. Tampa is going to get one of those spots. There is almost no way they don't with 3+ games in hand on everyone.

With the way the oline struggled, daboll had too many slow developing plays called. Should have designed more quick hits. In the TD drive they had more quick passes.

Overall, too many mistakes to beat Baltimore today: 4 or 5 drops, a couple of missed long ball chances, Poyer dropping coverage on the long TD for some reason, a few missed calls by the ref.

Good thing is basically everybody we wanted to lose lost today. One win in the next 3 games and we’re in the playoffs.

New England had 3 or 4 horrendous calls
Go against them today and it was so GREAT

They played a perfect road game. In addition it was the second of a back to back and the third game in four nights. And, like you said, they held the top two scorers in the league pointless. Not sure what more anyone could want.

Why couldn't the Bills call a screen pass to help offset the overly aggressive pass rush and blitz? Is the OLine too stupid to run a screen pass? How about designed rollouts instead of Allen running for his life rollouts while he was a pylon waiting to get mauled? Anyway, the D did well.

I was driving around after the game and put the New England game on SiriusXM. I got the Patriots broadcast. Their color guy was livid.

Eichel should have punched McDavid in the face and demanded that Reinhart and Draisaitl switch teams
