In an odd twist, the Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey Club announced that they have asked for and been granted permission by the Vancouver Canucks to play a video tribute to Travis Green tonight on the Canucks' Jumbotron, to thank him for his two and a half seasons* in the blue and white.

I wouldn't write the kid off that fast. He's only 81 games into his career - Horvat through his first 81 only had 6 more points than Adam. He got a lot more to give, he used to kill penalties and was the go to guy on the PP (in the Brock position). If he only ends up being our 3rd line centre, great but he's a gamer and will only get better - I'm excited to see what he does in year 2,3 and future playoffs

It’s not impossible but he isn’t very good. He is a year off his prime years and he is a massive defensive liability with OK offensive skill

Gaudette is a fine young player with plenty of upside as he adjusts to the pro game at the NHL level. He’s already demonstrated the ability to score goals in the bottom 6

Horvat is only a year and a half older than Gaudette and is arguably the best face off in the league. Coaches use that more than you think. Because Horvat is so dominate, during injuries he's taking face offs on 1st PP unit, 1st PK unit, and 3 lines 5 on 5. Let that sink in and you'll understand what I'm saying about how much coaches rely on starting with the puck.

He would be dropped from the top 6 while struggling if F/O were just average for him. I have no doubt. I'm not a fan of him on the PK or overtime but again... face offs.... Coaches want the puck...

Face offs are definitely overlooked by fans.

With an avatar like Don's what do you expect? It's all about age, facts don't matter - banish him to Utica!! Fortunately, Gaudettes waiver eligibility has passed - so the next dipsh*t to be sent down hopefully will be Loui, Schaller or better yet Don.
