Well if they're looking to move him, which we don't know if they are, that contract is not going to be an easy one to move. They will have to make certain concessions.

It also depends on what their goal of the trades is, i.e. cap dump, futures, roster player, etc...

Yeah who would want a top line winger...

Jarry named 2nd star of the week (between Carlson and Eichel), and i guess he will also start today (though haven't read any confirmation). https://mobile.twitter.co...s/1204084812417511424?p=p

1. He's been in the press box as a healthy scratch recently.
2. His personality is similar to that of Kessel... His coach, now fired, and GM have called him out publicly. Dallas is looking for a jump start and a swap of talented underperforming wingers is coming
3. The local media in the Dallas area have said that he's rumored to be available.

His poor start at his age could cause apprehension about his contract.

Holy (frank). The guy is still on pace for 46 points. You guys are acting like he has 7 points on the season.

Ya, but you must admit its a) a huge drop, b) mostly based on a hand of multi-point games (i had to drop him in two fantasy leagues...) and c) you know what his age sadly indicates regarding future performance... i like him, but hard to argue a trade for him.

He’s been given less minutes and his 5v5 on ice shooting percentage is down. Once that jumps back up he’s on a 60 point pace easy.

Also let’s not pretend 6.25m for a 45 point guy is the worst thing in the world.

Has it been discussed that the Pens are moving toward another spot where they need to deal one of their goalies or lose one to the Seattle ________?

I think teams will be much more proactive trying to avoid losing good players. I imagine the situation resolves itself before the expansion draft. Both players are looking for new contracts and neither are eligible for ntc/nmc in their next deal. One of these guys will be gone.

Also.... I think the situation with the tenders worked out perfectly. We got to keep MAF for that cup win for which he was a major contributor and it only cost us a 2nd.

Too much really, it's a year and a half away. So long as they don't give Murray a NTC, they can deal with that at any time before then. Besides, they'll lose a good player regardless.

No point in discussing that until after the season before the draft ends.

Here's a crazy scenario that would never happen. Had Tampa not traded Miller before his NTC kicked in they'd have had 6 forwards with NTCs and would have had to choose between Kucherov and Point.

Last year he’d have been right. Rust has got some serious confidence right now. That extra second holding the puck sold it.

Speaking of Radulov, the Pens should seriously avoid trading for any aging players with NTC/NMC.

Lol I like how you just contradicted yourself in your own post, multiple times.

Let’s break this down:
1. He will get points no matter what.
2. He needs to play with guys that can out the puck in the net.
3. He didn’t have any problem putting up points without possession man himself.

Which is it?

- j.boyd919

I don’t see how any of them contradict each other. Simon’s a terrible person and worse hockey player. Sid always gets points, he needs to play with players that can score and Simon sucks.
