Until I hear differently, I’m just going to assume he was snorting coke out of a hooker’s ass crack while on the phone with his bookie and that’s when Nill walked in while giving a tour of the practice facilities to the Baptist’s Women’s Auxiliary |

Maybe he had a relationship (affair) with somebody who works for the Stars and it came out. - Gambi99
I would think in this day and age companies are more open to that sort of stuff. |

Also have to think that a lot of folks in Dallas are thinking: damn, they fired the wrong coach! |

...it doesn't affect or relate to any current or former players....................of the Stars.

What's interesting is Nill said it didn't involve any current or former Stars players, so ..... is this an issue from his personal life? Right now, we don't know and shouldn't speculate too much, but obviously something majorly wrong occurred that Nill became aware of. |

No, we should absolutely speculate. The Dallas Stars and their hilariously-vague punt on addressing it was pathetic. |

Can't be surprised anymore living in this society. Montgomery is solid, nobody is perfect. This BS is annoying and it's spreading. Hey, I F my mate's wife, she was asking for it, does that mean I can't do my job properly? Not saying he did just that but keep personal shyte away from work. Hopefully he won't be without a job for long |

It has to be personal but hurts the Stars organization in some way. We are all joking here but maybe this guy has some deep personal problems. |

I guess if this keeps up it may come down to player coaches like there has been in the past. Why have a coach anyway as it appears they can’t say or do anything without hurting someone’s feelings. |

I was speaking on the premise of Victimhood Culture, that's why you see so much whining and complaining about everything. People have caught on that it's an instant reward system, easy fame and fortune

Why should we be left to speculate, I thought the NHL preached transparency?

Physical abuse, racial, personal and political slurs should be off limits, what Babcock did is not something worth getting fired over (and it wasn't the reason) but it makes him look lame and amateurish.
I agree mind games have always been apart of coaching in hockey, Keanen ,Hitchcock, Burns, they all did it and I'm surprised this is all of a sudden being called ''psychological abuse'' by the players. If the coach looses the room because his mind game gimmick backfired, that's his problem and the organizations for not doing their due diligence. |

Well, almost all the coaches have not been fired, so it actually appears that most of what most guys do is fine. |

Because of legal ramifications no intelligent organization will disclose details of an employee's dismissal. Unfortunately that leaves the public to speculate. At some point through leaks or outside investigation the truth may come out. Or a false truth will be widely believed by the public to the detriment of the individual, his peers, the organization, and the league. |
