That kind of thinking is how you end up with this Leafs roster which is a poor man’s version of the recent Tampa teams that choke in the playoffs.
How come Beagle had 8-10 teams bidding on him, including his former team and the defending Stanley Cup champions, while Spezza had to settle for a deal worth peanuts in Canada after having every Canadian team on his NTC not too long ago?
Seems like the league disagrees with your statement.
Teams like Washington and Boston will continue to feast on the soft teams in the East in the playoffs. And if your soft team gets by one of them, you’ll be too (frank)ed up to win the next series
I laughed when Dubas traded Kadri, one of the few players on the roster who wasn’t scared of the Bruins - Nucker101
He was offered better contracts he chose less to play for the Leafs. And what does it matter? Spezza is better for 2.7 per less.
Washington "Feasts" on no one. They've had good playoff run after drafting Ovechkin 15 years ago. LOL. And Pens won back to back cups with without being a big team.
And Kadri was not afraid of the Bruins. Maybe that was the issue. He barely played against them. Side-stepping his suspensions I see. |

Leafs, always getting favours from the NHL! On top of it, they are 31st in PP opportunities for 3 straight years! - RogerRoeper

Marner will also demand a trade. He will rip up his contract and sign an offersheet July 1st. - RogerRoeper
Quite likely after his boy-toy A Matt is gone. |

But all Leaf contracts can be moved. And the core is locked-up. And that constant mention of 1 DMan signed makes it sound more dramatic than it is. Dermott is 1000% returning (Unless you guys will start "Offersheet" theories haha). Sandin and Lilljegren are both signed next year and even after Dermott they'll have minimum 10 million to spend.
If not for those overpaid bottom 6 guys Boeser could have been signed for double the term. - RogerRoeper
Boeser needs to earn that term. You just can't hand it out like candy lol
By the time we get to Hughes and Pettersson, Edler-Tanev-Sutter (should be) will be all gone with over 15 mil off the books. Plus Schaller and more of the plugs wil be gone. We'll be fine. Hopefully Eriksson too.
You guys have 45mil tied up in 5 players lol. And you are wondering why you aren't past us in the standings? Probably as you have 10 players making 1.2 mil or less?
Hard to beat down the Nucks for bottom 6 signings when you got that bro. |

I’ll take the opinion of multiple GM’s, including a cup winning GM, over yours.

Lets rewind... you are playing conspiracy that the Leafs are getting poopty end of the stick with all those back to backs and I claimed that the Leafs selected that sched. I doubt that they were offered schedules with 1st and 2nd number of back to backs... but anything is possible.
Either way... you just spent 2 pages running your mouth about something you knew nothing about. Typical Leaf fan. Big mouth small brain. |

They’ll continue to get pushed around by the league office and player agents, it’s open season on Dubas. The word is out. Beta organization thanks to Dubas |

Lol... Washington won a recent cup. Leafs have never made it out of the 3rd round in their 100 year history. Just stop. The worst team in modern NHL history... your fans need to know their place. Zip it. |

Washington used to be cucks too just like the current Leafs, now they’ve surrounded Ovie, Backstrom and Carlson with some balls to go along with talent.
There’s a reason why Ovie openly criticized the Leafs, how often does a player comment on another team like that before a game? He can smell the fear. Everyone can |

It's where we're at. I'm ok with where we are going as we are working towards good things.
Biggest step for you is to get past the denial stage, admit you have a problem, and move on dude.
Plus your team hasn't been the same since you let Kadri go...just sayin' |

Pretty much every game when they go to Toronto. It made Mackinnon lie last week LOL. He took a "Massiev" discount with stats worse than William Nylander... |

Still waiting for the league to schedule a back to back situation on a western canadian trip. I can only imagine the backlash from the Leafs if that ever happens. - Itsjustarash

I never saw Burke’s Leafs get called out by an opposing player before a game. They lacked the star power outside of Kessel but had some balls and pride at least. Which player called them out?

You do understand the entire question was about winning in the playoffs, right? When would that come up with Burke's teams?

No, I asked if a player had the balls to call out those teams and then proceed to beat them in their arena after doing so |

Ok, Burke's teams were "Tougher". I'm sure you think that matters if the team misses the playoffs every year.
I miss those days of drafting Tyler Biggs, Gauthier in the 1st round and trading lottery picks and signing Komisarek to a massive deal.. |
