They’ll continue to get pushed around by the league office and player agents, it’s open season on Dubas. The word is out. Beta organization thanks to Dubas - Nucker101
A fluid GM, no doubt.
The Islanders are looking really good, again. They have the advantage of having an alpha GM who serves up the salted and slightly warmed balls of the other GM's & agents that he has neutered. |

I told a Leafs fan I work with that if I were GM of the Leafs I would trade Nylander so that I could sign a top 4 RHD, he said "No way, Nylander has been our best player this year!"
He then asked "Who would you put in the top 6? Johnsson and Kapanen aren't good enough replacements." |

And Ovechkin and Backstrom were big winners when they were 21.

They'll have to after the Matthews trade. |

The ENTIRE question came up about the playoffs. LOL. Burke couldn't get the Leafs in ever.
Ok, Burke's teams were "Tougher". I'm sure you think that matters if the team misses the playoffs every year.
I miss those days of drafting Tyler Biggs, Gauthier in the 1st round and trading lottery picks and signing Komisarek to a massive deal.. - RogerRoeper
My point is that Dubas is being exposed without Hunter and Lou around to show him how to build a proper team around stars.
Another early playoff exit and he’s done |

What top 4 D would you take for Nylander? If it's some #4 "Defensive D", no thanks. Larsson trade 2.0 |

You do understand the entire question was about winning in the playoffs, right? When would that come up with Burke's teams?
You think Burke did a better job than you see with the Leafs now? - RogerRoeper
Answer his f*cking question you coward. |

Dude, really?
Just relax - both teams suck right now. |

I didn't say I was trading him for a Dman.
Also, he is not Taylor Hall. |

I already did. No one would question Burke's teams. They were much tougher than Dubas'. The NHl has also changed with no fighting and Burke's teams NEVER ONCE made the playoffs.
You are somehow trying to say Burke did a better job. |

Hunter didn't do a single franking thing outside of top-5 picks.
His "superior brain for drafting" was absolute shyte. He thought he was smarter than other GMs by going off the boards every time - every pick has turned out to be a bust.
There's a reason why no other team has bothered to phone him regarding employment. |

Please refrain from stating this on the Leafs thread.
It's painfully obvious, but it's not worth the hassle of reading the objections. |

Some people have their blinders on.
Do you think Shanahan gets fired before Harry Potter when they fail to make the playoffs at the end of the season? |

hopefully.
but i think it'll take missing the playoffs. he spent a poop load of mlse money this year with front-loaded deals.
no playoff revenue with massive salaries should rattle enough cages up at the top. |

You won’t win against the analytics crowd that love Dubas. Nylander is a paper tiger. He’ll help get you into the playoffs but he’s nowhere to be found when the going gets tough. |
