Vigneault must not like Van Riemsdyk's work ethic. To elevate
Pitlick to the second line is pretty outside the box. - PLindbergh31
Don't think so. JVR's actually been a lot better this season away from the puck and doing more "little things".
As he crept into his 30's, his usage was gonna start looking like this. Bottom-six, PP-specialist. Thomas Vanek-ish. We're all kinda surprised how soon it happened, tho.
To JVR's credit, he's taken it like a pro. No complaints at all. |

Landeskog and Kadri on the same team. The Av's punk ass female dog quotient is off the charts. |

Pitlick on the line with G and Frost may not last, but I can see it working at least for a while. The depth on D pays off with Myers out and Haag in. Flyers have a tough game, but I'm hoping AV can put together a game plan that'll frustrate the Avs. They do have a lot of firepower though.

I think you need to ride out the slumps with G and Frost because they have shown some flashes of being a really good duo together. It was really evident the first few games they were together and I think with the 2nd and 3rd lines really clicking, you should roll G and Frost out as well regularly and allow them to work on their chemistry. Once TK comes back that line could be scary good if they are allowed to work together |

I'll take the albatrosses we have now over the dead weight/disaster ones we had before (Vinny, AMac, Umberger, Bryz).

Fair points. But for his cap hit you want more production then that obviously. He doesn't provide much if he's not scoring goals, hopefully he steps up they will need it with Konecny's absence. On a 4th line with Stewart and Vorobyev JVR won't be getting very many chances 5x5, he'll be busy hemmed in his own zone. Production will have to come via the PP. |

Didn't know this, but Patrick has been living with Hayes. Bought his new place and invited Patrick to tag along. I liked the Hayes signing from the beginning, but this makes me love it even more. If you don't remember, there was a time in Hayes's college career when he possibly wasn't going to play again. I'm sure his voice has been a huge help for Patrick with his current migraine disorder. The more I read about how close this team is, the more i love this season - arichardson22
As a guy who didn’t want Hayes, I stand by my hatred for his deal but I am impressed with his hands for a big guy, positioning and ability to steal pucks. His offensive ability is right where I expected unfortunately. Not great. |

The good news is they can still win the game if the Av's first line scores. |

Oh absolutely. I didn't want to come across like Negative Nelly. It's just they give you that "oh crap" feeling everytime they're on ice like Marchand/Bergy/Pasta do. |

I don't know, they've got a lot of firepower. Hart would have to have a pretty spectacular game for a shutout. |

Ehhh I don't know. That horrible Calgary Flames team just beat Colorado. When Calgary beat the Flyers people were calling it embarrassing and the worst loss of the year, claiming to be done with the team, etc. |

Their backup has 2.45 GAA and 0.925 SV%. He's a good goalie |

perhaps we'll see a reverse then! Poor back ups usually kill us. Maybe we kill this one tonight |
