Say he sucks because of a 13 game sample size (while he's had 4 points in the last 4 games I might add) you're gonna get called out. Would the world be gravy if he scored his 40 goals one game on one game off, sure. The world doesn't work that way though.

How about lets talk about finding a good second line center and having the lines something like this:

Olofsson Eichel Mojo
Skinner Player X Reinhart

and then watch a true second line be able to produce?

Sheesh...

Also if that tweet was real and that's the real contract for Reinhart getting him signed for less than $8 million a year isn't bad

Buffalo has bad been for a long time and they (had) to overpay to keep players here. That is what happens when you suck for a long time. Skinner competes every night and is passionate about playing. They had to pay him. Fan base was happy at the time.

Toronto put all of their money in offense. Compare their contract to Buffalo. Is Sam > Nylander? That is the question. Matthews, Tavares, Marner with Nylander vs. Jack, Skinner, Dahlin & Sam. Sam does not compute to a core cup winning team. I like him a lot and hope he stays, issues is at what cost.

Most of the guys on that list get top PP time, play with other good players and will get in the neighborhood of 7M, if not more.

Just saying, the expectations may be a bit much if that's trash production for you.
