Ek seems to think Sabres want Kreider.
Freidman seems to think Sabres want Galchenyuk.

Both franchises are more than ready to part with both players. They're having terrible years by their standards are clearly in need of a change of scenery. I love Kreider's style, but who can be sure the change would get him back to 50 some odd points? I truly wonder if coaches and GMs can scout a guy in the NHL and say, yeah, after watching this guy extensively, it's clear he would flourish in our system over theirs, playing with these types of players we employ.

If they continue their seasons as they've started them, they'll just be the high priced middle 6 bums we already have.

I was told to relax in July, trades happen in Aug/Sept
I was told in Sept to relax until Training camp was over
At the start of the season, I was told trades were on hold until Pilut and Bogo were back...they needed the extra guys in the event of injuries
Bogo and Pilut are back...

Fast forward,
Can't trade due to Xmas break
Need to wait to closer to TDL
Too many teams "in it" to make moves...no real offers for our rentals

- extends Scandy, Bogo, Sheary, Vesey, Girgs, Larsson, and Sobotka saying he doesn't want to lose assets for nothing
- signs Galchenyuk to 5 x $6m, Kreider to 6 x $6.5

The part that is concerning about Botterill is that he's adamant that he won't lose a player for nothing.

with 10 (maybe more) players on expiring deals, he can't expect to get something for all of them.

Even worse, he can't want to resign all of them.

I've read proposals from several Pens fans over the past month or so. Most recent proposal was Galchenyuk, Ruhwedel and a 2nd or 3rd for Scandella. Obviously money doesn't work and we have no need for Ruhwedel, but if they want to give us Galy and a pick for Marco I'm all for it.
