The part that is concerning about Botterill is that he's adamant that he won't lose a player for nothing.
with 10 (maybe more) players on expiring deals, he can't expect to get something for all of them.
Even worse, he can't want to resign all of them. - thatsapickle
I’d move Sheary for a Klondike Bar |

I've read proposals from several Pens fans over the past month or so. Most recent proposal was Galchenyuk, Ruhwedel and a 2nd or 3rd for Scandella. Obviously money doesn't work and we have no need for Ruhwedel, but if they want to give us Galy and a pick for Marco I'm all for it. - adambuffalo
I would do this also. Pilut can play great alongside Joker too. |

I'm concerned as well. I'd like to think there's a difference between a UFA and RFA in that regard, but I'm still nervous that he's going to bring back too many.

Out of our impending UFA’s I’d hope only Larsson (might even still be an RFA) is back. Vesey and Scandella would get a consideration but both are definitely replaceable. |

Gally and a pick for Scandella I think is the type of hockey trade that works for both sides (hell, even straight up). Though I haven't really seen him play much since his days in Montreal, I would think that he would be an upgrade over, sheary, mitts, probably vesey, erod and too early to tell on Asplund. |

From what I am hearing Pittsburgh called Buffalo on Gally
Is that true 89? - Stripes77
Not what I heard, he's a LW/ Center, why do we need another LW. |

I would definitely shoot higher than Kreider and Galchenyuk.
That's just my useless $0.02. - thatsapickle
Kreider is a LW, We do not need anymore LW's, it's Center and RW we need. |

Maybe we want to impose a 3 D 2 LW system and overload one side of the ice
Gotta think outside off the box

Tonight's forward lines:
Gilmour-Dahlin-Risto
Miller-Montour-Joker
Scandella-Bogo-Borgen
Mccabe-Nelson-pilut
I would switch Nelson and Pilut but it's not my call - jcragcrumple
Well done.
If EK is right (which he never is), we'll end up with LW Kreider. You could probably put together a line-up of Left Wingers as well.

I think most people would be fine with 2 coming back, not counting AHL guys. Hoping it's not more than that.

I just can't understand why anyone would want Galchenyuk, he's a bad, lazy hockey player that has been traded 3 times now. |

I was told to relax in July, trades happen in Aug/Sept
I was told in Sept to relax until Training camp was over
At the start of the season, I was told trades were on hold until Pilut and Bogo were back...they needed the extra guys in the event of injuries
Bogo and Pilut are back...
-Botts likes his D depth
-Cap is keeping teams from trading
-LTIR is keeping Teams from trading
Fast forward,
Can't trade due to Xmas break
Need to wait to closer to TDL
Too many teams "in it" to make moves...no real offers for our rentals
Botts,
- extends Scandy, Bogo, Sheary, Vesey, Girgs, Larsson, and Sobotka saying he doesn't want to lose assets for nothing
- signs Galchenyuk to 5 x $6m, Kreider to 6 x $6.5 - IonSabres
Relax |

I agree that rushing just to Do Something wouldn't be wise. Sitting in 2nd place sounds really good, but they are 1pt ahead of 4th place (out of playoff spot), and only 3 pts up on 6th place TB, who has three games in hand.
Places will be flip flopping almost daily unless/until one of the five can go on a run and separate themselves from the pack. |

It's not my dream moves by any means but
- it's all trade targets that are said to be available
- the money works
-no high-end murrancy lost (no firsts)
- only things of value for us are a 2nd, 4th and Miller
- addresses forward needs
- mitts can go to Roch
Moves can be made. It remains to be seen if Botterill is willing to do something |

Is keep Vesey over Larsson or Scandella. Scandella will be the only one with loaner value at the deadline. Should fetch us a 3rd or 4th |

Stick his a$$ on the dot and move mojo to wing. Didn’t you say gally is grumpy cause he wants to play center... fine, here ya go guy, here is a center position and a $9 million dollar winger. Go do something in a contract year you stiff. And if it cost us scandella and erod, so be it.... |
