3 quick takes
1. I would not let bogo in the building, let alone play him. For a player who wore a letter, and the sabres were patient with him, to demand a trade over 1 game sitting when we have 8 d man is insane
2. ullmark is not an ahl goalie
3. jack is a stud, olofsson is money and skunk keeps setting them up. Now get skinner a center
oh and risto is a beast right now - homiedclown
Fark Bogo. That biatch rode our system for a boatload of money and we’ve never even gotten close to a full season out of him now he wants to go out like this? I hope no one offers us anything and he plays in Europe |

in my opinion, there's more to this Bogosian dust up. 🤷‍♂️ |

I would legitimately put a ton of thought into that proposal.
There's like no better fit for this team than a guy like Larkin. Age, talent, abilities, play style.. the guy's a perfect match for what we need. Detroit would never, but ultimately the kid is a tweener 1/2 C - TheSabresTaco
It’s one that makes you think forsure. Larkin is proven but Cozens reminds me of Jeff Carter.
Detroit wouldn’t move Larkin anyways, and could of taken Cozens if they really wanted to. |

I agree with the fact that arguing we should have taken Draisaitl is a mute point. I agree we need Sam for depth but he maybe the only bargaining chip we have.
Who would you move if you had to send one of the following for a marquee 2c?
1-Samson
2.Mitts
3.Cozens
This is what it will take to land the type of player we all want. Or, we have to accept the team as is with maybe some more depth players added next year until Cozens is ready - lulags
It's difficult to answer this question without knowing who the "marquee 2c" is. As of right now, I'd lean towards trading Mitts for that player. However, I don't think they should be giving up on #37 so soon, but if that marquee 2c is 25 or younger, then yeah, go for it.

What is even the possible get for Bogosian?
Even at 40% retained, who wants a guy that is going to play in maybe 50% of the games, and be bad when he does.
The grit he supposedly adds is non existent. He has no speed anymore, and he adds little to the offense. |

Weber got a 3rd. Granted, his contract was easy to move and he was generally a healthy player. There's plenty of ways to get rid of Bogo, but none are easy nor satisfying. |

The easiest and most satisfying thing would be to waive his ass and make him spend the rest of the year in the minors. Fine him for every insignificant rules violation. |

I thought this was interesting.
David Pastrnak's Player Profile
Climbing the ranks quickly, David Pastrnak has been flashing his exciting offensive skillset at every level, most recently at the World Junior Championships. Using quick agile cuts and dazzling puck skills, Pastrnak attacks quickly often making defenders look foolish along the way. He hounds pucks in an unrelenting way and doesn’t steer away from traffic but his underdeveloped frame can hold him back occasionally in puck battles. The young Czech forward has been fantastic in Allsvenskan professional action and he currently leads his men’s team in scoring as a 17-year-old.
Brayden Point and David Pastrnak and Alex Debrincat were dropped simply because of their size. I'm glad the league is finally drafting for skill without the size asterisk. Olofsson was a victim of this as well. |

I say this realizing how easy it is for me to spend Terry Pegula's money for him, but when/if they renovate the arena, they should bring back the colored seats. That site looked awesome, and I am the furthest thing from nostalgic when it comes to this franchise. |

I think bogo has value. Especially close to the trade deadline. 50% retained to a contender to play 6/7 d? - Boss34
Good post Boss.
Spot on.
Do they let him fester for 2 months though? |

It took like 6 weeks to trade Beaulieu, not so coincidentally, the trade deadline.
Gotta wonder if Bogo suffers the same fate. |

Pens have 0 use for a RD. Especially an expensive one that rarely plays.
Actually, most teams have 0 use for that its going to be hard to trade him for anything more than a 5th rd pick, if you retain celery. |

Now that the request is public it makes it easier to waive him- send a message I bet no one picks him up- they will have to scramble to find a new dj for casino night though |

If Dreger's report didn't firm up the request for anyone, him being a no show for the (frank)ing troops should seal the deal.
I was hoping Phil would be on the ice last night for 80's night. Say what you want about the coach, but the player was spectacular. - TheSabresTaco
Well Phil was in Arizona coaching a game, so it's not like he can blow off his job for the 80's night. |
