Trading him to the Rangers would be apocalyptic but to the anyone else is fine if the return is good enough. I don't think to the Islanders would be too horrible. Philly would be rough. But in any case it's likely as just a rental so who give a crap if the return is compelling.

Mike Hoffman to the Isles would be an excellent acquisition mainly for the fact he kills the Isles. Guy can skate and has a wicked shot. Would be a nice sniper on the top 6.

Not sure though the Isles are going to unload a ton of assets on him as a rental and with Florida floating on a playoff spot don't think he will hit the market unless they fall out of race.

Toffoli is also a pending UFA and doesn't seem to be the impact forward the Isles need. They can get his level of scoring from players on roster or in AHL. He currently is on a 17-18 goal pace after putting up 13 last season.

I don't watch the Isles much, but do they have any superstar defenseman. If they do, make sure they keep their wife/gf on the other side of the family box from Mrs. Hoffman. You'll thank me later.

that was my point.. get the best return regardless of who he goes to because if the Rnagers want him they can sign him July 1 anyway

Hawks aggressive? Heck yes they are just a Pageau away from relevancy. If there is any aggression in the Hawks it should be to shop every single "non prospect" (Dach, Boqvist types) for the best return possible. This team is easily one of the 3 worst teams in the league, this despite having one of the games best players and several other high level stars, including 2 goalies. This is the time to strike, help someone with their Cup run and start the rebuild in earnest. Though not sure Baby Bowman is capable of that, his ceiling is acquiring guys like Brad Richards in their dying days.

I would seriously doubt Rangers and Penns make a trade! Right now Jeff wants a lot for him and Buffalo is without a doubt the front runner they want him yesterday!
