I think I read that because a certain amount of time has passed and his age, he would have to be waived in order for another team to acquire him on an AHL deal. Otherwise, he requires waivers to be sent to their AHL club and could be claimed. Baertschi would be a fool to terminate his guaranteed money contract. |

I know it would be. I think it is a brilliant move by Benning. Him and his agent think he is NHL quality ? It is a chance for a team to grab him for free or a chance for him to step up and put his money where his mouth is. He can start at square zero and get a new contract
