Lately in the game the Canucks are getting beyond grade A chances to score in the first period and aren't doing it. Example Sutter at the end of the first period there.

It seems if those type of chances are scored the flood gates open, if they don't then it's a struggle the entire night to put the puck into the net.

New coach for the Sharks will have them ahead of the Canucks in a few games time and Van will be selling for the tank. Another disappointing season.

Its a process for sure. Getting scored on 1st so many times is surely a down. Maybe Petey smirking off a miss is a sign he knows he'll get more chances to bury them.

The up would be making the playoffs to keep the development going. Missing to keep the draft pick isn't much of a benefit they are not a bottom five team.
