They are quietly celebrating how awesome October was.

Hertl, Thornton, Kane had fun playing keep away for good parts of the game and there wasn't anyone showing initiative to stop them.

Was one game but it looks quite the same as a lot of the other games.

Quiet leadership is right. They need someone who sparks the flame for the rest of the team.

Petey probably had more moxy last season as well. It seems to only show up when they score though. Throwing his head up to the sky when he misses doesn't look good.

It's time for the younger players to stop pouting when they don't score and instead put their head down and compete harder.

I like last years Josh Anderson like everyone else does , his goal scoring is obviously down but so is his penalty minutes. He did fight last night but it has been a quiet year for him. If there is someone like the last years version of him I would love that guy to be a Canuck.

A guy who is a buzz saw around the net that is in the 5 mil range is a guy like Gallagher.

I really don't know what to make of Jake. He has decent numbers over the last 10 games but he really is a mystery.

Van's not really in it anymore.

They can tie teams thanks to games in hand but they can't overtake them and you can't realistically count on them to win 2 or 3 games in a row.

21st in points percentage.

The commentator said yesterday the Canucks started started out 9-3-2 but were 7-9-2 since.

I don't see a team that looks capable of winning consecutive games.

Was at a Christmas party last night so I didn’t watch the game, looks like it was fairly close? Assuming Coutures goal with eight seconds left was an empty netter.

I don’t like our chances against Vegas, especially on a back to back. Slip sliding away.

Not really. You never felt they were going to get to the next level and take over the game. Disappointing.

SJ is a strange team, on paper they’re still very good, however, goaltending and poor defensive play have them outside looking in at this point.

Your pool team took a big dump this week. You might be dropping a few spots

Jake by NHL standards is just average size.

Gallagher having a career year the same as Anderson did last season but comes with no size.

Seeing Charlie Coyle get 5.25 for an on avg 40 point player and he's going to be 28 when it kicks in.

He has one point less than Leivo and the same amount of points as Virtanen.

Canucks to me have the makings of a team that should be better than where they are in the standings right now.

Difference of those teams is they can break the slump and win more than 2 games in a row. This team just can't win more than 2 in a row.

Poor first period, didn't start skating till mid Seco d. Karlsson passed to a canuck right in the slot 3 times and couldn't make him pay lol, we were the better team for 40 minutes but couldnt score.

Yeah...a few injuries and Pettersson/Miller not performing up to expectations. That’s ok, my goal is to make the playoffs, you can’t win if you’re not there. I want some of that prize money

JV is just standard size in terms of height but he’s a lot heavier than most guys, he’s 228 lbs. Not many guys play at or around 230 pounds and have the ability to skate like he can. He’s a big boned kid.

I find Ottawa players are god for pool stats (not the goalies). If Canucks are not pumping in 5 goals a night they are not good pool players

We had some great chances to score early in the third to tie it, petey had a great one and missed the net and went back the other way and they scored to make it 2 to 0, jake scored 40 Seco ds later and we had some good chances to tie.
