Well yeah, but he was also in a different situation where he was taking a win-now approach. That failed, and now he's in a ''let's rebuild'' approach, which won't happen by selling prospects and picks and hoping that the player signs.

while that is true, they also need to make the playoffs (eventually) in order for the kids to learn what playoffs hockey is. it is valuable experience to get.
worth a 2nd and a B prospect imo. not, I repeat, not a 1st.
