I assume you are talking about Cleveland?
They are also a Top 20 TV market in the US. Buffalo is #52.
I have long held if the NFL could get away with erasing/relocating Green Bay and Buffalo, it would. It obviously would lose a lot of goodwill if it did, though. - buffalofan19
Green Bay is good for the league because it adds a folksy charm and its 100 years old. The league would have been totally fine with the Bill's leaving Buffalo |

Right, but look at the opponents: Dallas, Pittsburgh, New England. Dallas and New England might possibly be the two most talked about teams in the league over the past decade, though for different reasons. Pittsburgh and the Rooneys are NFL royalty. - buffalofan19

Oh, there's no doubt if the league could choose only one with no ramifications, Buffalo would jettisoned to the moon yesterday. Green Bay's charm you are alluding to is exactly what I mean by losing too much goodwill. In terms of pure dollars and cents, though, those two cities are not really major league markets anymore. |

there is no reason not to think olofsson will easily get 16 more goals if playing 48 more games on eichel's wing
in fact if the three stay healthy and intact
jack gets 50 goals
reinhart and olofsson get over 30 goals - homiedclown
That line is going to cool down. Eventually, Eichel's point streak will end. They will hit a lull. The question is whether or not they can minimize how long it's going to be. |

I like how Goodell constantly says the Bills need a new stadium "to be competitive" whatever the hell that means |

Eichel seems to really get it this year.. he will fight to not let a pointless streak happen. |

A new stadium will mean higher ticket prices. He's assuming Bills fans can/will pay them.
I think revenue sharing is a good thing for the league, but I do partially agree with Jerry Jones when he gets pissed off that he's contributing exponentially more to the pot than the Buffaloes of the league. |

I get why it would bug him, but he's hardly hurting for cash so it's tough for me to empathize. The league prints money |

I don't feel sorry for him either, but his argument is closer to sound than not.
The league prints money, in large part, merely because the Dallas Cowboys are a franchise. |

I doubt anybody but San Francisco or New England would be a primetime game. Even then, I could see them getting the 4:25 double header slot. The Bills have a ton of marquee opponents at home this year, though.
The Bills by themselves aren't going to be a national TV draw unless they start winning multiple Super Bowls. At this point, it's still going to be about who they face. The big reason last night's game got flexed is because of how big of a TV draw Pittsburgh is as well. - buffalofan19
Good post
Wonder if the Bill's still don't have night home games because of Ralph ? 🤔
I could see a Thursday vs. The jets again
This is a likeable group of guys. We draw tons of national attention when were good.
Allen has the "IT" factor too |

They've had Thursday and Monday night games sporadically over the years. As far as the Jets go, it depends on what they do in the offseason, but being in the NYC market, it's always a possibility.
The NFL knows it can put a Dallas-Cincinnati game on Sunday night and it will get a draw. Buffalo-Cincinnati, even though the Bills are playing better than any of these teams by a mile, wouldn't be anywhere near as close. |

I'm sure I'll be called out for some inside information I recently heard but, there is talk of not investing in the current arena, but plans to build a multi purpose (sabres and bills) in downtown.

This is a good point ...... I can almost guarantee that the bills probly bring in the lowest amount of revenue for any team in the league.
I would say the bills or raiders battle for that. But the raiders are moving to Vegas so that’s that.

Is there any coincidence that the Thanksgiving game between Buffalo and Dallas was the most watched Thanksgiving Day game in 27 years and the most-watched regular season game on any network in three years?
It can't be because of Dallas ... they play every Thanksgiving. Do you think the NFL looks at the ratings and thinks we may be missing something by not putting Buffalo on more national primetime slots? Just a thought.

There was an article about that in The Buffalo News a while back. An architectural firm put an idea on the table about a facility that could transform be a football stadium, hockey arena, and a convention center all at once. Supposedly you could transform from one to another in a matter of hours, too.
Speaking of the arena, I mentioned this the day after the Predators game, when I saw the T-shirts over the arena seats. They should totally Aud-color any new seats as part of any renovation/new arena. |

There's no way the league would have known Buffalo was going to be this good when it made the schedule. The Jerry Jones comments about Jason Garrett had every bit as much to do with those TV ratings nationally as the Bills did. That game could have featured the Bengals and the numbers would have been similar. |

Before I moved down to Florida there was talk about expanding UB's football stadium
I mentioned with the subway running from UB to have them play downtown as well at the new stadium
Then there's the MLS that could add event's downtown
Why not have a college football, NFL, MLS, and a convention center all under one roof?
If they can figure a way to have an ice rink in that as well then that would be insane (turning over from an ice rink to basketball courts isn't that big of a deal, but having a football stadium and an ice rink in the same building isn't a walk in the park)

Like I said, there was an article in the Buffalo News probably a year or so ago where an architect claimed it could be done. |
