I'm not going to pretend to know who would make good coaching candidates, or even try to nail down what the issues are in the current system.
It's just that watching the games you can tell there is something fundamentally wrong with the way guys are set up and what plays they're trying to make. - NorthNuck
My thoughts are the 1st period has been slow out of the gate too often. Idk why or if it’s just to be conservative. Run n gun isn’t always the option & if it is then it’s on the D to do it. Hughes needs support with only Stetcher seemingly trying to. Myers could add more to help out. Overall it still is the passing that breaks down. |

Agree & will decide if we are sellers. Should be sellers anyways imo. - Nighthawk
It's starting to look the way. Hopefully JB doesn't leave too much on the table. |

This was discussed at length here some time ago. Green was the right pick for a young rebuilding team, plus no high end coach or manager would be interested in starting from scratch. Once the team was looking like it was ready to compete, you bring in a closer who can go head to head with the playoff coaches. So here's the magic question, are we there yet? - VanHockeyGuy
I think it's a moot point, as Green will be the coach until the end, or near the end of the season even if they miss the playoffs.
If they miss, I think someone new comes in next year, which would be good timing imo. |

That last road trip then a home game without rest really was horrible scheduling. Add this 3 games in 4 days & we look tired & outta sync. Scheduling has always been tough so looking forward to Seattle joining. |

Any D 1st round you like? Generally I pick them later. |

I like this guy #13 on Dobbers.
Emil Andrae, LHD / 02-23-02 / 5’9 183lbs / SuperElit
Creative, shifty, and intelligent. Throw in strong edgework and deceptive speed and you’ve got the recipe for success for an undersized defender. Can dance out there.

Hughes needs to do back with Tanev. They were a solid pairing before getting separated. |

It astounds me there are nights they make their opponents look silly, while others they can't make basic passes.
I noticed while watching one of the PPs last night, Petey, Brock, Miller all had the puck in their own end and just kept starting to break out, then back passing, basically just waiting for Hughes to do it cause none of them could manage it. - NorthNuck
I see that too. Also, I've been contemplating how their habit of closing in then back passing to Hughes is becoming counterproductive from overuse. They need to decide when it's the best option or not more often than just thoughtlessly doing it. |

Surprised he's ranked that low, I don't know a ton about this draft class but I thought he would be ranked more in the 5/6 range. |

I'm just focusing on the 10-15 range our luck will drop us to. |

I feel like this is what most of us were saying when Baertschi got sent down the first time and Eriksson/Schaller stayed up. |

Not one of his strong suits. He claims eastern teams don't know much about our players. |

Lack, Hansen and maybe Garrison?
I wouldn’t call Burrows a true sell high since he was struggling/declining already and Ottawa knew what they were getting. Lack for sure fell off after getting traded though. TB fans liked Garrison during his first year there but I think he started slowing down after that. |
