Do you think there is a huge difference between BB and KC? Stats are quite similar.
What makes KC’s game so much better than Brock’s that it would make a trade scenario unlikely? - bloatedmosquito

You are saying Boeser does not play an all around game? How closely do you watch the games? Pay a little more attention to Boeser's play. I didnt absolve JB but i made good counter arguments for all of those 8 points. Please counter them. Sutter has not been good when healthy? You not happy with the base JB has built (BB, Petey, Hughes, Demko). He has made mistakes but the plus' more than outweigh the negatives. - banksy91
I watch every game, Brock's defensive play is consistent. Of course you can pick out p0lays and games where he's engaged and backchecking, but the problem is that you can also pick out plays and games where Brock isn't moving his feet defensively and gets caught puck watching or just waving his stick, you're not watching the games if you haven't seen that.
You did not make good counter arguments. Sutter's been inconsistent with good and bad play, he has stretches where he looks like a solid defensive center and then other stretches where he looks slow and can't generate any secondary offense. And McCann is already better than him offensively and would be a top 5 scorer on this Canuck roster and top 5 in hits amongst Canuck forwards too.
The base is solid, but that's not what my original post was about, it was about that one year stretch where he made a lot of mistakes, just using generic statements and say that they weren't mistakes is not something I can counter, because saying things like "no other options every GM has those mistakes, etc" is not a valid defense. |

Thanks Carol
TBH I thought the podcast of Bieksa Kesler was mind numbing. I listened to the first 15 minutes and found out Kes's big frozen Xmas tree was a pain in the ass. They both think that Nate McKinnon is a very good hockey player and is underpaid (mind blowing).
Kes also thought he gave a slightly below average discount to the Canucks.
I could not go any further. It was like someone telling me the sky is blue.

These interviews are often a bunch of nonsense. What's the point of even publishing an interview like that? |

You're the one who wants KC for Brock so tell me
The same reasons why you want to make the deal are the same reasons why I'll all you Winnipeg will say no
Now if you wanna propose Boeser + for KC then it makes sense since you think KC is a better player. |

If Benning re-signs Marky #teamwhiner will have fuel for years lol - LordHumungous
I'm getting annoyed at Benning for keeping TG for so long.
If they are re-signing Markstrom, I want a first round pick for Demko. |

The strong base is what really matters. Just need to let that base grow together now. If you examine the records of every GM, they ALL make mistakes in trades or signings. No GM hits 100%. So, yes you can single out his mistakes but i could counter with a number of good signings and good trades. The base fails he is gone. Too soon to make that decision is all I'm saying.

I don't think any other team's D is nervous about the Canucks forecheck. Outside of Motte, Schaller, and Rous, no one hits.
I've been fine with Green, but think he needs to get canned at this end of this year. |

Very impressive candidate got fired not long ago.
Regardless, DeBoer has been an excellent coach, who has put up an impressive record of 415-329-111 record throughout 11+ seasons with San Jose, New Jersey and Florida and has taken the Sharks to the playoffs all four years he’s been with the franchise, which included a Stanley Cup Finals appearance in 2015-16.

Imagine if Benning poached Cassidy from the Bruins AHL club before Julien got fired |

The coach is not the problem. Why doe eveyone think a coach fired by San Jose given their poor play is the solution? The team is young and they are showing it. I don't think any other coach would do better with this mix. |

Maybe we know why Green was so "pissed off" last night he knew after such a push against Sharks the team wouldn't have enough against Vegas.
Seems a lot like the Stars away game where Canucks were stumbling in a hole the whole game. |

You had to know Green was gonna get 2-3 years at the minimum.
Marky is never gonna be a no 1...that much is evident. I thought he was close but it's not to be.
Demko needs to be coached properly and developed at this level. |
