Problem is there is some news that Pageau may actually want to sign an extension with the Sens.
Lets hope it just BS and there's a chance to get him. - nyisles7

Yeah I read the same. I don’t think it’s BS. He’s a local kid think there are a few quotes from him saying as such. Maybe he’ll change his mind and maybe the club will trade him anyway. Not sure what his NMC/NTC status is?

Why would he not want to be away from that lousy owner?

just curious.. why do you guys love Pageau so much? He is a solid 2 way player but it's not like he has huge numbers or anything.. I remember his 4 goal game against playoffs a few years ago but overall I don't see him enough to judge.

Unfortunately the Isles don't have many appealing prospects outside of a couple of high end prospects that I just don't see them trading for a rental. They have some solid prospects that I just don't think would be enough to land one of the top rentals out there
I wonder if Ladd gets the call if Clutterbuck is out an extended period? I can't see them with Leo, Mooseknuckle & Johnston all in the lineup at the same time

None. Ottawa has zero NMC's and the only player with any sort of NTC is Hainsey who has a modified NTC
I thought it was a pretty even game, more or less. Tight-checking, not a lot of space...good game all around. Had a little bit of a playoff vibe to it. Varlamov was excellent, ridiculous save notwithstanding. - eichiefs9
(frank)ing hell! 😳
Okay. I totally understand Boychuk’s reaction now.

Wins draws has 16 goals and can play a 2 way game, adds two things we need in draws and more offense and will plug into Trotz d system very well
Adam Pelech
His numbers, per Natural Stat Trick, were ugly on Thursday: In a team-high 17:36 at 5v5, the Islanders mustered just five shot attempts vs. 20 against with Pelech on the ice.
But this is where context matters. Of that 17:36, Pelech saw the Marchand-Patrice Bergeron-David Pastrnak line for roughly nine minutes. That line had a couple of good looks, as it usually does, but nothing that jumps out at even strength. Mostly what you remember from Thursday is Pelech having his most physical game of the season, taking a piece out of Pastrnak, the NHL’s leading goal scorer, every time the puck came by.
And the two best scoring chances against the Pelech-Ryan Pulock pair came off of turnovers by Pulock. Bjork scored off one and Bergeron was denied on the other.
Against that line, the best in the league, that’s a big win. It was a big night for Pelech, who has been very steady the last seven games (on ice for three 5v5 goals against in 124 minutes) after a lousy eight-game run prior.

Because our 3rd line is an abyss and the guy can actually center that line and put up some points. That alone would allow Trotz to spread out scoring more effectively than he has been. It would help push players like Komarov and kuhnackl out of the line up. Brassard doesn’t work there we’ve proved that already. He plays a great two way hard nosed game while putting up points. I think it would have an overall positive effect on the line up.

I could handle kuhnackle on the third line also cal got stitches and will be out so someone will be on the 4th line I'm guessing leo
