If the Flyers need space, the can easily add someone the LTIR. Right now only 4 of the 7 are on LTIR.

I'm sure they think the players not on IR will be back soon, that is why they aren't doing that.

Closest guy to returning is likely Raffl who is already on it. Konecny and Pitlick are out indefinitely. They can be placed on LTIR with no issues. Laughton is the only guy who could possibly return within the month.

Sounds ideal. What would be your guesstimate on when everyone with the exception of Lindblom is back.

I think TK may be back for Thursdays game or the next game at latest

What's worrying is no timetable for the other two injured

I don't think there is a way to put a timetable on a concussion.

Laughton realistically could be 1-2 weeks

Pitlick Probably mid January

All guess, nothing concrete

They may not win, but I don't think the goal differential will be close to 150. Maybe 3-4 max.

You will have to clarify this for me as I dont really gamble is -130 good or bad? I always though minus meant they werent expected to win. I have only bet once and that was last year picking SJ to win the cup. I left disappointed

How did Dallas Eakins get another coaching job?
- hereticpride

You can't take anything from the Oil years .. except everyone knows they were a tire fire and DE learned a great deal on what not to do...

The San Diego years were very good. And although we're scuffling .. this team is light years ahead of the Carlyle disaster.

-130 Means you are betting $130 to win $100. If they were +130 you would bet $100 to win $130, so minus means you're the favorite

He's already played 12 games to many. It's amazing he wasn't in the NHL last year, but improved enough at 32 to get a job this year.

Is the 7 D tonight because they don't have enough cap space to call up someone?

Just knew November was too good to be true. Sure I thought there would be some normal regression but for the wheels to fall completely off with this injury bullpoop is par for the course.

- PLindbergh31

According top cap friendly the flyers have $57, 336 in cap space.

HB posters have converted me. I am a HUGE Stewie fan. He is helping out NoPa everyday. That in and of itself is worth the cap hit and roster slot.

No one is saying you have to like the guy fact is the reason he is on the team is to be the guy who available in case of emergency. Flyers are at that point right now. Once everyone gets healthy, he's back in the press box. The expectation is that he is going to sit out for long stretches which is not good for younger players. They can only improve if they are playing 10+ mins a game. A guy like Stewart is not going to get better. He is what he is, it doesnt hurt him to spend long stretches in the press box. I dont understand why people like you make a huge deal over something thats barely relevant.....

But can either of them play defense?
- jmatchett383

Player 1: I've tried. We don't have it. But maybe the two of us, working together at full capacity, could do the job of one normal man.

Player 2: Then each of us would only have be like a half man. That sounds about right!

agree...that suspension was harsh. I didn't think he would get a game as this is his first time.
- Peter Richards

Yes it's harsh. My only hope here is that the league is finally getting serious about this and this is the incident they're using to send the message.

We'll see about that based on the flying elbow to the head that Ryan Ellis delivered to the Rangers last night that only got him a 2 minute minor
