Tuesday's game in Philly begins a four-in-six gauntlet in the east. The Flyers game is the front end of a road back-to-back for Anaheim that will shift to New Jersey on Wednesday to play the Devils. The team then faces a weekend Empire State back-to-back on the weekend against the New York Islanders (Saturday) and Rangers (Sunday).

Laughton has a groin injury and the only word on him is that it isn't a day-to-day situation and he may miss some time.

Why not throw Ghost as forward tonight? Hell even Myers with his size and speed could be more effective then some of the guys we plugged in upfront.

Well yeah, but they don't have anyone else. Giroux, Couturier, Voracek, JVR, and Hayes have to carry the team. Time to strap them up and get to work, or the season is going to go down the poopter in a hurry.

And my problem isn't with Stewart, I'm sure he's a fine guy and a good veteran to have in the locker room, but he's not an NHL level player now. My issue is with Fletcher having him on the roster.

With all the dead wood they are putting on the ice he doesn't help.

I wanna shake my head at you like everyone else but I actually think Ghost is the worst defenseman in his own end, on this team, by a country mile.

If he's willing to sign for under $1M prorated (about all the Flyers can afford), then he'd help as an injury replacement for Lindblom.

But they have to know what they're getting into. Kovy's not gonna suddenly be willing to dump the puck, crash the net, back-check like a demon, etc. He's a Ferrari. He's not a hauler or a plower.
