I can see Deboer taking over after the holidays but Benning would be in the summer.

I get that feeling as well. RD figures the rest of the home stand will tell the tale.

Miller is a locker room cancer if anyone is. Did you hear Burkie comment on the red flags from his draft interview? But he’s a good player, they’ll figure it out. No locker room is without a few personality issues.
- Pacificgem

Burkie also said JTM is passed that and has matured. Do you think him being vocal is a bad thing on a team of soft spoken guys?

Thanks Lom, I aim to please. I am killing myself laughing with every post I make and same for some of the replies. Nothing is taken seriously here, I mean if JT can make outrageous comments why can't anyone else, lol

Big scorer I don't know... good secondary scorer though. He's 23 and at a 33% face off. I wonder if he is going to be a strong centre. He can be taught defensive coverage but it certainly doesnt look like he has those instincts naturally or he wouldnt stand still in a group of opposition while one of his players is looking for an outlet pass option out of the Dzone.
- boonerbuck

I noticed that natural instinct as well last night, he could have done more than staying back and doing nothing. The fact that his face off percentage is low is another reason he should be tried at wing. One thing you can not deny is that he is a extremely talented scorer, he can snipe. First line pp would not hurt, better option than Horvat imo. Don't forget he is young and can improve plenty. Bottom line I like the kid and hope he succeeds. That goal he sniped last night is a goal scorer's goal, not a fluke.

Blame Lefty for opening the door to Philadelphia riffraff. Quick, hide the silverware.

I hate the idea of “selling low”, which might apply to a number of players (not QH, EP or Miller), possibly including Brock, definitely including OJ. Put them in a position to work through the slump and then make a trade, if you think they should be traded.
- SlightlyOffside

Ya his 32 in 34 games is just so sub-par

You liked the humour.... I just thought the idea of trading Brock was silly unless there is an elite player / truly elite prospect coming back.

BB is in a slump and not doing some of things he should. He is young, still learning and absolutely can be better.

He is also in the the top 5% in the NHL (statistically, in the top 30 out of 700-ish skaters) in points productivity, 2nd on the team in scoring after EP, is a poster boy for character and community involvement (important to this franchise), and while streaky like most scorers, can put the puck in the net. Top 6 on any team in the league.

Yes. Some guys are AHL studs but their game just doesn't translate to the NHL.

I look forward to seeing Rafferty, Lind and Zacmac, even Brisebois, in the lineup over Schaller, Loudini, Stecher, Benn etc.
Hopefully these guys get a real look this season, at some point.

And, fire Green.
