Is she really that important? - jochfr
No, but she was a darling to the movie critic community for some strange reason. |

The best 6 forwards this year are all from the GMTM and Darcy regimes. The top pair and the only reasonable goalie is from the Darcy regime. It's incredible how poopty his forwards are. I mean it's really almost impressively poopty - jcragcrumple
So your saying half the team is Murray and half the Team is Botts, and that Botts filled the roster with half ass players because there was no depth in the sysrem to fill out the roster. Agree |

This Tom Coughlin story is insane.
I’ve never heard of a players union strictly say “Don’t sign with X team” - ImThatGuy
for a coach that was the biggest stickler of enforcing team rules, it's ironic he did not follow the rules |

My only defense of Botterill is that he’s truly committed to contending in 2020, and not overpaying short term fixes.
However, (frank) him if he wastes this year from Eichel.
Fire him if he thinks that this roster is actually good enough |

How are we contending in 2020? We're going to add Cozens and Thompson and lose Sheary and Vesey and now we're contenders? |

The "Star Wars nerds" are obsessed with "canon". It's not that they don't like anything but the first 3. It's that the they don't think the other movies fit in with the other material. I've never watched anything but the movies, and never read any of the other material, so I have no idea. - buffalofan19
Think we are on the same page.

Last night was one of the worst games I have watched in a few years and there have been many stinkers.
We did not look we belonged in the same league as Philly.
Hopefully Jbotts can find a trade partner somewhere and get us a #2 center... If not I fear we are going to start free falling again back to a lottery team.

She was definitely an after-thought in the movie, no doubt about it, and I didn't even notice or care. There is a good chunk of people out there, on both sides of the aisle, that believe that JJ Abrams basically wrote The Rise of Skywalker in a way to pretend that The Last Jedi never happened.
Like I said, I don't want to spoil anything, but I will say that I liked it better than the critics did, but not as much as homie did. - buffalofan19
It was a solid 7 and I’ll just leave it at that. |

I can see both sides of it. People like me, who only watch the movies ask "was it entertaining?", and stop there. However, if I had invested a whole bunch of time into consuming the supplemental material and then a movie comes out completely contradicting everything I just read and/or watched, then I would probably be a little pissed off. |

I'm about there as well, but both the movie critics and the die-hard fanbase hate it, and watching the reactions on Youtube are freaking hilarious. They both hate the movie, but also hate the reasons the other side hates it. |

Presumably next year is when he makes moves to win now.
Look, I get the forward depth sucks.
It’s my opinion that he planned on making a D for forward trade and just hasn’t gotten the offers he thought he’d get for someone like 55,19 etc.
I don’t think he makes moves for Jokiharju, Miller and Montour without thinking he was going to make an additional trade. I just don’t.

True, I can see the side of all this time invested for someone to just come in and poo poo all over it. BUt that person also tend to look down upon us who enjoy the couple hour movie...

IMO, It shouldn't be considered as either short-term or long-term. Shoring up those positions of need can serve both very well. Also, I hold to my belief that they can acquire a suitable player at those positions more cost-effectively rather than rolling into FA.
Further, if he were to acquire a strong 2C, and 2-1/2 years from now proves to be worthy of 2C role, then trade that valuable asset to upgrade another position if need, or put one at 3C and roll 4 lines.
No more excuses, that is all that is now for not making a suitable move. |
