I never see a failure of effort from Skinner. It's almost always a failure of results.

I think that’s better than hoping and praying he won’t score so that your personal opinion of him is validated but here we are

Not a lack of effort, tired of hearing if he had better linemates, we all now that, but even so he is getting chances, and not burying them

OMG Stop!!!! Jeff Skinner did not offer himself 9Mil, his agent negotiated and Jbotts agreed to pay it, if there is blame anywhere its on the GM not the player, Skinner has been in the league for 9 years and averages 30 goals & 24 helpers per year for a total of 54 point. Right now he is lower then average but he is a streaky goal scorer playing with crap centers. He is not a take over the game player. he is not Jack... Don't expect him to hit 40 goals every year. It is not gonna happen. Hope for 28-35 goals & 50-60 pts total. now if we get a true #2 center in here then I would think you could want a little more from Skinner. But until then be happy if he gets close to his career average.

They're paying him not only to score, but to drive play. The analytics appear to show that he's doing that, yet they keep decreasing his ice time. He needs to do both, plain and simple.

I saw a nice pass to set up a slot shot opportunity to set up Mojo last game. If he does that more often he might earn some primary and secondary assists too, just food for thought.

I can't wait for that to happen and for a board party to break out for a top line, top paid player to get a fluke goal. That would be kind of a hoot!!

True. And goal scorers can be streaky... hell hockey players can be streaky. Look at Vesey, took him a while to catch his stride. Skinner will be fine, least of my worries and even more so once he has a consistent, real, center....

So it’s ok for Skinner to benefit from the cheerleader effect due to the crap that surrounds him ?

What’s wrong with Larsson ? He’s been elite defensively.

3/4 of those players listed won’t be on the roster next year, we will eventually acquire depth that will play worth a poop and then the question will still remain if we could of used Skinner’s dollars more effectively somewhere else.

I’d love Okposo if he made $2-3M but he’s making $6M. We’ll be saying the same thing about Skinner in a few years.
