3 years into the Botterill "process"
The top line all picked by Murray
Krueger's favorite D pair picked by Darcy
Starting goalie picked by Darcy
LOG line picked by Murray
3 years - jcragcrumple
oops, flagged ya...just a note, prospects do take time to develop...they tried rushing two players (tage and mitts) and we've seen how that worked out |

The 'Do something Botts' crowd needs to realize that making a trade isn't as easy as hitting the submit button on your Xbox controller. It takes at least two GMs to make a trade. We all know we need to make a trade, and I'm sure Botts is working the phones to get something done.
Screw this! Sorry, not directed solely at you.
Excuse after excuse after excuse.
The holes in the roster have been known to Botts and staff, as well as to fans since the ROR trade was made...that is 17-2/3 months ago.
Fact is he has been derelict in his duty to secure a 2C and 2RW. His original plan was Berglund, then Casey, then Johansson, then Larson, now ERod. What a complete poop show.
Now , using excessive Dmen on the potential market as an excuse tells me that Jason has failed once again to properly evaluate the market and the valuation of his assets.
It sounds good as an excuse though. |

you can always move a pick for a failed prospect on the other team to give that player a second chance
happens all the time
the issue for me is not for lack of making a big splash but rather not making any moves |

You can’t do a trade in 14 seconds... it’s can be a 14 month process... |

Last night showed the last 3 years under darcy - I mean Jason - have been a colossal waste of time.
At least he restocked the cupboard with 3 whole forward prospects- two of whom have gone backwards |

Sorry Michael, I disagree completely.
I like Botts and want him to stay.
That said, this roster is his doing, he owns it.
His job is to find a way to make it happen.
He has assets in the form of players, prospects and picks.
There is one plausible reason, he is overvaluing his assets ... to the deterement of the team.
17-2/3 months. Let's stop with the excuse making. |

Botterill middled the rebuild and this is what we got. Traded 2nds and 3rds for mediocre players |

Perhaps this is just me (more like probably) but you can trace all this darcy like behaviour back to june 23 2017.
He was so certain that it would cement that position for a decade that he could let his plan to carry 18 3rd pair d-men like in PIT come to fruition. |

I think there is more in the pipeline than you give him credit for. Just look at how the Amerks are playing vs. when Murray ran that part of the org... botts prospects will take a little time to develop properly, I get that...
I’m with Hommie. It’s the lack of trying anything! The two big forward holes have been known. Try something! |

gimme a vet, top-nine right winger with some balls and some decent hockey IQ who can score a little bit...play him on the second line and take it from there...
shouldn't cost that much |

Every defense of Botterill basically rests on "the job is hard"
Well maybe the job is just too hard for him. It certainly seems so
