He’s gonna have a lot vacancies to fill up front...unless he just re-signs all the same guys we already have.

It'll be a busy summer. Hell probably have to find another winger to shoehorn into the 2C position

Worked well for MoJo.
Or maybe just throw Cozens in there, what could go wrong?

Always an interesting discussion on what he should do with the pending UFA's.
Here my take, off the top of my head...

- Reinhart - I would seriously use him in a package for a very good 2C. That is pretty much all I would move him for, and would be "ok" resigning him. I will also say he leaves me wanting more out of him. He very much is NOT untouchable.

- Olofsson - bridge him for 2 years. Before that, I would like to see him play with others just to get a better sense of his game without Jack.

- Vesey & Larson - I'm probably on the trade them at the TDL camp. Vesey has been playing better lately, so dependent on his play over the next 2 months, trade seems like the way to go. Larsson I could see them resigning and would be ok with it depending on other moves made.

- Sheary, Girgs, Sobotka - see ya. Get what you can for them at the TDL. None of these 3 should ever be resigned. Could we throw one of Girgs or Sheary in a deal as a sweetner by retaining salary?

- Montour - resign.

- Scandella & Bogo - trade at TDL or before. Include in a trade package for a better return IF possible ( unlikely)

I think it was your idea to move Samson for a center and then other pieces (mitts...) for a rw... or Two.... I’m warming up to the idea. Lot of moving pieces in that equation though?

Could you get JPG without moving Sam though?

I'm all in for trading skunk if it makes for a good trade. I'm in the same boat...he always leaves me wanting more. I know he gets points but I've never felt he was a cornerstone you'd build around.

If Rino is as mediocre as people say, and Botts is as great of a GM as they say, then it should be no problem signing him to a very reasonable contract that no one will have a problem with.

The league changed last year with respect to RFA's...they are now being paid more than previously in fair recognition that it is much better to pay for current and future production, rather than for past production which was/is the UFA conundrum.

Therefore, Sam will get paid. He is on pace for 65sh points and I think his contract comes in at $7.5m+/- ... especially after he bet on himself with a sweet bridge deal 2 years ago...he'll want to recapture some "lost" earnings.

65 points is nothing to sneeze at, especially at RW, hence why I would only move him for a very good 2C. That leaves holes at RW throughout the lineup. My hope is that Cozens and Mitts can fill 2 of the 3, and Botts will need to find another. Does Tage ever develop his game enough to fill one thereby allowing Cozens or Mitts to grab the 3C and develop into a 2C?

He won’t get some mega deal like people think.

He will get around 7 IMO. Or dealt.

I don’t see them giving him 8 or 8+

I'm "ok" resigning Sam, but I would also be listening to offers, and probably making a few calls if so.

It ain't Sam-bashing here, rather leveraging an asset suitable in value to acquire a much needed 2C via a package with other assets.

Filling the RW hole starts with Cozens next year, a move this year or during the offseason by Botts via trade or FA, and seeing what Tage and or Mmitts does in the meantime.

"So fitting that on the drive where they needed a score to keep their season alive, Dak missed a wide open receiver for a TD, and another receiver dropped a pass for a TD. Season...in summation"

JGP makes me think long and hard, probably would NOT go after him hard.
27, UFA, normally a 30-40 pt guy, never posted 20 G's ...1st year he will exceed that, contract year buying really, really high
Lot of red flags there.
I think I would let someone else make the risky bet and be a hero if it worked out.

Yeah and I watched Tannehill complete more difficult passes today then the one's Allen missed yesterday. Sorry but those were not hard throws by NFL standards, and he wasn't close.

Ahhh, no.

If Botts walks into the opener without a bonafide 2C, he must be fired.
For 2020-2021 he MUST have a solid A and B plan that does Not include Mitts nor Cozens at 2C.

As a longer-term plan...3 years from now, sure.

The Botterill plan is "throw poop at the wall and see what sticks"

Just give him 2 or 3 more top 10 picks. He'll get it right
