I didn’t say that. I expect Allen to be much better. I want a franchise qb not Andy dalton - Sabretooth9

Really not sure what the Bill's have in Josh.
I suspect no one is either, including Beane, Dabol and McDermott.
He shows us both sides, a guy who us so erratic in his passing that he can barely complete 60% of passes, and misses his receivers with late, off target throws to those who are often open.
He competes very, very well...never out of it, but yet one is never confident he will actually pull it out either.
It has been close enough to 2 full seasons, we should expect more answers. Yet here we are hoping he will continue to develop, grow, become more accurate, etc. He makes us want him to do it, and be happy for him when he does, but less than confident he actually can.
I'm not saying he sucks, nor anything clise. I am however wondering what we have with him, and beginning to think we should have seen more than we have.
Is it over for him? Hell no.
Am I beginning to wonder if he can put it all together? Yes. Yes I am...and I hope like hell I'm wrong. |

Jesus Christ he's far from Andy Dalton. - SABRES 89
Don’t respond to sabretooths josh allen bashing- he always been a dbag about Allen. He has a lot of room to improve and he will cuz nothing is too big for him. Sure he should have hit Knox there at the end but what other qb makes that 4th down an d 1 play? Bottom line, we got killed in the trenches today.
He’s my qb |

Fair and it’s your opinion. I think he needs another weapon and better protection. I’m the glass half full guy. 1st down play was a stupid call with the oline not blocking well all day. .2nd down he missed Knox by a yard. 3rd and 4th he had no chance. People said he couldn’t hit the deep ball, he did twice today one vs smiley Gilmore who hadn’t allowed a td all season.
The end is nearing for New England |

He had a ton of miss passes.
Knox. Twice in the end zone. 1st and 4th quarters.
Beasley in the 1st or 2nd quarter.
And a million 3 and outs for 80% of the game.
If that is your qb ..... you have some low expectations

Make everyone happy and go away btch or better yet go drink wine coolers with pegulaville and root for the broncos. Board would be much happier without your dribble |

You’re right about the misses, but there were not “a ton”. There were 4 or 5. And some of them happened in key moments.
But he also had an amazing ball to Knoxthat led to a TD, and a sweet long throw to Brown.
He isn’t great yet. He may stay where he is now - not great. But if he gets a bit more help on the line, and gets another weapon out wide, and continues to grow as he has to date, you will have egg your face. |

Pump this Harrington quote directly into my veins
General Manager Jason Botterill has a lot to think about. I vote he drinks more sage tea than egg nog over the holidays to give a little jolt to his brainpower.
It seems pretty clear the Sabres are taking the patient approach again, that maybe they expected this to be a transition year to clean out lots of cap space and really start to build a team next year through free agency and, presumably, the additions of Dylan Cozens and maybe Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen.
But once again, Botterill & Co. better pivot.
The Sabres didn't last year and they let their 10-game winning streak slide into oblivion. Perhaps they (correctly) felt that was a mirage. No such luck this year. You can't let Jack Eichel's Hart Trophy-caliber season go to waste. The Atlantic Division is weaker than anybody expected. You can make this into a playoff team, which is the position it's been now for nearly a month. |

Without looking, I’d bet money that was either the 2nd or 3rd best game a QB has had against NE this year.
How anyone can not be at least semi impressed with that game, on the road from him is beyond me.
The defense couldn’t get off the field. They take the L on this one |

Doesn't matter what Harrington says or anyone else for that matter, Botterill will do what he feels is the best for the team and in certain circumstances, that will cost him his job. |

Yes. You can’t suck for 90% of the game and think it’s okay. - Sabretooth9
There were, what? 3 unblocked Pats in his face? But no, it should've been a perfect pass. The fact it was even anywhere near Beasley is amazing, running for his life, off his back foot. |

Yeah, it's not like NE has an all-time great defense or anything... They're on pace to allow the fewest points in 14 years. And the Bills beat their average points allowed by 4. Or maybe you missed where the Pats are 43-1 at home when Brady and Edelman are in the lineup? |

For the "biggest project" in the draft, he's coming along faster than I could've imagined. -I also hated the pick at the time, so maybe that has something to do with it.- Even from within the season, he started out trying to make all the plays, and that led to picks, but, really since the first NE game he's been really, really good in not throwing ill-advised passes. I think a fair few of the overthrows are throw-aways, putting them in a place, where if anyone is going to catch it, it's going to be his guy. |

He still needs work on his touch passes, but I like him, and they need to fix the O-line and get a few more weapons. |

it should also be stated Allen really wants to be in Buffalo and win there. That's not always the case with players. Jim Kelly, looking at you. |

It’s not certain we l play Houston yet as Houston can still overtake KC for the #3 seed and we’d get KC. KC has to win out (@chi, LAC) to keep the 3 seed if Houston bears Tennessee next week.
As for Sat/sun it’s a crapshoot |
