I would do a 2nd and a third in a second.

Not having that CCM line as your shutdown 3rd hurts.
Then you have Ebs, Barzal and Lee and Nelson, Beau and Brassard as your top 2 lines
And the mix and match 4th of who’s left.

Lou needs to trade some picks and go get Pegeau even if you over pay at this point. We need to solidify the team down the middle and he will add talent upfront we need.

Throw kuhnackl on that line and call it a day. Play the same lines the team has been successful with all season. There’s no need to have MDC and Johnston in the top 6. I get the fourth line isn’t the same without Clutterbuck but that in no way should malfunction your two top scoring lines. You want to give it a shot I get it. He wants to spread the scoring out but when it seems to be causing the whole team to be disjointed change it before you’re down by four goals or you lose three games in a row. Like I said love Trotz but I’m going to completely disagree with this.

It does make a difference because you have 3 solid lines. Without it you have two and that isn’t going to work.

MDC, Komarov, Martin, Johnston, Casey, and moise knuckle in any order are not going to cut it.
That’s why not having CCM makes a difference because now you have to try and change things up to get at least 3 decent lines together never mind 4.

Right or wrong, Lou was not waiting on Robin like he had to with JT. Robin only got a one year deal with Chicago. Isles seemed to be the best spot for Robin. If Robin continues to play well, he cashes in with the Isles or another team in two years.

Better than one no? Also, Martin was out for a stretch and we were just fine but then again we didn’t have johnston and kuhnackl in our top 6. I understand what you’re saying I just don’t fully agree.

I think Toga is decent this yr? When I played hS hockey we had ref named Smitty, that was always drunk. I played center and the oposing center and i would always get a laugh in before he inadvertantly threw the puck down on edge, instead of flat. We were always taught to watch the refs hand as it came down and respond to that. But you couldnt cause noone knew where it was going...
