Wondering if Trotz will shake up the D and get Dobson back in after the last game? Toews was uncharacteristically pretty awful Two of the last three games. |

Sorokin isn't going to get a better deal than with the Isles. They play a defensive system so an easier transition. They are near a major Russian Community. Not getting that in the middle of Canada and honestly, teams that need goaltending usually are not very good. Plus he has his Russian buddy as the other goalie who shares an agent.
The only way this doesn't work is if Varly as the season goes on gets relegated to #2 and has negative things to say about the coaches or Lou. The Isles in that scenario look to resign Greiss and maybe re-acquire Lehner while trading the rights to Sorokin and Varly. That is a lot of moving parts and if Varly thought there was any chance of that happening wouldn't have signed a 4 year deal.
I would be very surprised if Sorokin isn't somewhere in the Isles system next season. |

Lets see what Soro does in the AHL first before we all get too giddy. The KHL is a fun league of perimeter shooters - no screens and no shot blockers. Fun times, the kid can stop shots. Real hockey happens a little bit closer to the net.
I don't think Pageau is going anywhere. |

Ilya has been dominant for many years in KHL and international play. He will be one of a List of goalies who had careers in the KHL before his move to the NHL. If he comes over here he is a very legit high end goalie prospect... especially with our goalie coaches working with him. |

I don't think anyone is anointing Sorokin the next superstar goaltender, but he's been nothing but a superstar in the KHL for the better part of the last 5 years. He's done nothing to date to give anyone reason to not be excited.
Maybe he flounders against better talent in the NHL, but the Isles are an excellent defensive team with arguably the best goalie coaches in the league so, given all of that, I don't think it's unreasonable to be excited about the prospect of him coming over. |

You know there’s a difference between being excited and slapping off to your Sorokin poster twice daily right? |

So true, but if having my own business as an Uber driver is failing then I'm happy being a failure.
Not everyone can be as successful as you are I'm sure. |

It's the background on my phone, nobody has posters anymore. And no, I don't see the difference, other than that the screen on my phone has become a lot more cloudy and harder to see through lately. |
