And yet, if Greiss controls the rebound on that weak shot near the end, Columbus doesn't score that game winner, the Isles probably get a point, and maybe even steal a 2nd point in OT/SO. Greiss wasn't terrible tonight. But he spoiled us with stellar play for the first couple months of the season. - JohnScammo
This loss is in no way on Greiss. Demented to even think that imo. Jackets took it to them. Unfortunately I was there tonight. They got out hustled zero urgency in their game. Better team won and it wasn’t Greiss’s fault. Jackets controlled play and they won. They deserved it. Blame Greiss if it makes you feel better.😂

I was there too. Think I saw you. Were you wearing a Ladd Jersey?

Edit; this may have been a bit rough of a post😂 - Cptmjl
Eh, I thought goaltending was kind of disappointing last night. Maybe not the reason they lost, but I'd say a reason. I can't be mad about it since goaltending's bailed them out more often than not, but last night I don't think any of the three goals Greiss let up were particularly good (watch the highlights...it's basically the "Greiss abandons the post too early" show), and, yeah, if he just gets one of them, it's a point in the bank.
I'd say the biggest issue was the team not being able to finish after spending extended time in the offensive zone. But that happens with this team...we know they're in need of another player or two with a scoring touch. So, they needed to win that game 3-2 instead of 5-3...and I think it was there for them.

They did hit 3 posts last night so they had chances

Neutral zone turnovers, not able to clear the puck in their own zone, little to no hitting. That’s what I saw last night and those three things when they’re doing it is what makes this team successful. They weren’t doing it and haven’t been doing it for the last few games and that’s why they’re on this hopefully mini skid.

Yep, a few posts, a few times where they were a half-second too early or late getting to where a rebound was...they could have had a few more than they did.

Agree with this totally. As Upstate said they had their chances but they didn’t play their game.
