Moving a warm body for depth on offence is a completely different ball game from overspending on a trade - Pegullaville
And he's done neither! Which is the entire (frank)ing point. JFC you're dense. |

You're going to fill 7 spots with $15m and you expect drastically different results? - jcragcrumple
Olofsson-Eichel-Cozens
Skinner-_____-Reinhart
Mojo-Asplund-______
_____-Larsson-Okposo
Dahlin-Montour/Risto
Pilut-Joker
McCabe-Miller
Pick who you like more between Montour/Risto and deal the other one for a 2C. Tage will be in consideration for 3RW or included in the trade package for the 2C.

It's crazy. They want to do exactly what we did 4/5 years ago. They haven't learned. - Boss34
Boss, JB has done what Murray did: traded away a ton of assets, but it's like the frog in the proverbial pot: JB raised the temperature of the water slowly (traded away a lot of picks piecemeal) so the frog stayed in the pot. |

I'll just throw your favorite "what aboutism" back in your face. The Blues. What if making the move propels the team? - Wetbandit1
I think we are more comparable with the Avs/Leafs then a team that was a perennial playoff team that finished with 94 points and made their go for broke move. |

$33m in cap space -
Reinhart - $7
Montour -$5
Olofsson-$4.5
There's half - conservatively
Replacements or re-sign:
Larry
Girgs
Erod
Scandella
Bogo
Vesey
Sheary
Sobotka
The rest of the $18m goes quick there - with Dahlin on the horizon the year after - jcragcrumple
Larry and Girgs are the only ones on that list I would bring back. Be surprised if Olofsson got that. Enough to get a decent 2c or Rw, depending on which one you don't get in a trade |

No the point made by several posters today was that we needed to get Skinner a center, which is much more easier said then done. Moving a depth d-man for another body up front is much more attainable then trading for a legit 2C in season. |

I'm talking about the foundering team that called up the AHL goaltender. |

I’m not certain JB is going to make a move to improve the team this year. It might just be another year to sit tight.
But whatever the approach, I just hope Jack is in favor of it. If he ever decides he’s had enough of it here...well, I think we saw where this team is at without him. |

I think the scouting of pitts left after that great play. Nothing to see there |

Yes Botts has traded away picks and a few players rumor has he was told to do. He in no-way is close to trading away the assets Murray did. |

Guhle we sold high on, essentially moved pick 32 for Montour which is good value.
2nd round pick for a top 6 forward in Skinner is good value.
Pominville and Scandella is much better then Foligno and Ennis’ buyout on our cap for the next 5 years.

Realistically we'd be better off with Ennis and Foligno still on this team |

That's what Scandella makes. Has it made a difference having him instead of ennis? Both contracts would end at the same time |

So would you rather have Skinner, at his current contract, or that 2nd round pick now? |
