Unless you plan on using it for UFA, which would mean Botts will be getting a couple Okposo and Lucic contracts on the books next year. So that’s something to look forward too.

While they will gave oddles of Cap available, they also have a mountain of positions to fill due to the sheer number of contracts expiring. Point is, the $33m goes fast either resigning some guys due decent sized raises...the resigning existing players or replacements like Girgs, Larsson...it really leaves around $6-$8m to bring in an upgrade or two...not alot.

You are right. The cupboards were pretty bare. He has done a good job of getting some inventory there...quality wise remains to be see what they develop into.

That said, this roster is Jason's..he should bear the weight of its' collective shortcomings to date.

It was very, very evident to fans in Dec / Jan of last year that both Mitts and Tage were in way, way over their heads and should have been sent down for their own good and for the good if the organization. He mismanaged both.

Players still here from Darcy's era, Murray era, and Botts era. But some of the players Botts has brought in have underperformed, Vesey but who would have seen this, Mojo yeah put it on him playing out of position, Sheary had a pretty good run with Pitt, but hasn't done poop since coming here, Erod I don't know what to say. Skinner is in a slump.Joker pretty good, Montour pretty good, Miller is in the press box, but probably shouldn't, Scandella pretty decent this year. Good and bad

With the exception of Vesey and Miller, whom we already have 2 other copies of, who have little to no impact one way or the other, all those deals are old.
